We are enjoying the hell out of it. Our in person interactions over it have been mostly positive. People don’t know what it is. One of my coworkers asked if there was a third row of seating? What’s back there? So the “pickupness” is not even apparently obvious to everyone.

I say It’s a pickup. “Oh?”
I Roll back the tonneau. “OH!!”

I forget that not everyone is subscribed to this forum and watching the Daily Joe video of the vehicles coming out of the factory.

We had one very emphatic thumbs down from a motorcycle rider on the way home yesterday, but I don’t consider that to be an in-person interaction.

While we were stopped at a light, someone ran up to ask what it was and tell us how much they liked it.

Little kids and elderly people both love it. I’ve seen videos of people with them at schools, but taking it to the retirement facility gets the same reaction. Old people gather on the sidewalk. The only difference is they try to help guide you into the parking spot.

I want to get everyone to drive it because it’s the only way to appreciate how truly great this vehicle is.

I flew down to Denver on Saturday to pick up my fiancée's and my new Cyberbeast, then drove it home to Rapid City, South Dakota that evening.

We placed a reservation in April of this year, and at the time we weren't expecting to hear anything until next year. I put in our order the same day our number came up (August 2), at which point the delivery estimate was "October-December." We had a VIN about 6 weeks later (September 8), and I got the delivery message two days after that! The service center was pushing for me to come sooner, but I couldn't get off work mid-week, so had to settle for Saturday.

I previously owned a Model S P100D, which unfortunately was totalled by a hit-and-run drunk driver in Las Vegas (the police said he didn't very get far, it was lucky nobody was hurt). I still miss that car.

Loving the Cyberbeast so far! We went shopping yesterday and got a kick out of the Sentry Mode footage of kids in the parking lot running up with huge smiles on their faces to check out the truck.

I was surprised the first time this happened, so now I make it a point to drop the tailgate and roll up the tonneau every time someone asks to check it out.
