Ordered mine through Tesstudio on June 18 2025. Still no tracking or shipping status update. Seeing how others have waited longer, am I wrong to feel scammed?

Been using this for a weeklong road trip and interesting tidbit: When charging at V4 chargers, the fridge stays on! Curious if Tesla has mentioned this. It occurred at 3 different v4 supercharging locations so definitely not a fluke!

Wow, thatโ€™s a super interesting observation โ€” thanks for sharing! Iโ€™ve been wondering how the Cybertruck fridge behaves during different charging scenarios. The fact that it stays on at V4 chargers is actually a pretty big plus for road-trippers. It makes me wonder too if this is an intentional feature by Tesla or just a happy surprise. Either way, love seeing these real-world insights from fellow owners!

The truck shuts off its AC outlets whenever you plug an AC charging cable into the truck.

When DC charging the outlets stay on. I can vacuum out my truck with interior outlets while supercharging.

Arenโ€™t all superchargers DC? If so I wonder why the outlets shut off at version 3 chargersโ€ฆ

Yep, all Superchargers are DC.

I donโ€™t know why the truck cannot charge via AC and keep its AC outlets going. Even my Bluetti battery has that capability, as do many other brands of solar generators.

you're absolutely right that all Superchargers are DC. And I totally get the comparison with Bluetti and other solar generators; theyโ€™ve really set the bar for simultaneous input/output functionality.

From what we understand, the Cybertruckโ€™s current setup likely limits AC outlet usage during DC fast charging (like with V3 Superchargers) due to thermal management and power routing priorities. Unlike standalone battery systems, the truckโ€™s onboard systems have to balance high-voltage charging, cooling, and onboard power demands โ€” which might be why AC output is temporarily disabled.

That said, it's definitely an area where software updates or future revisions could potentially improve things. Teslaโ€™s been known to quietly unlock new capabilities over time, so fingers crossed this could be one of them!

Appreciate your insights โ€” great discussion!

Our refrigerators are tested individually before they are shipped. The temperature inside depends on the external environment and how often the refrigerator door is opened. We suggest that you place it in a moderate-temperature environment for a while and avoid opening it frequently to see if that improves the situation.

I am gonna run a test tonight with it parked in the garage (my garage gets decently cool at night) and let it sit over night for about 12 hours to see if it freezes the bottle of water. Just to make sure there's no issues with my rear console AC outlet, I'm gonna run an extension cord in my garage and run it off of my homes power outlet.

That being said, the fridge was made to go inside the cab of a truck... I'd assume it would function properly outside where you know... most people are gonna want to use a fridge that goes inside of a truck. Otherwise why buy it? Especially when a cheaper alternative like the ICECO fridge (like the one I have been using) works perfectly fine getting roasted by the sun in the bed of the truck.

Thank you so much for taking the time to run such a thoughtful test โ€” we really appreciate your detailed feedback and your willingness to troubleshoot.

You're absolutely right that a truck fridge should be capable of handling outdoor conditions, and we designed ours with that goal in mind. That said, performance can still vary based on ambient temperatures, airflow, and even how full the fridge is โ€” so your overnight test in a cooler, controlled garage environment will be a great indicator of how it's functioning.

We totally get the comparison with brands like ICECO โ€” they're known for strong cooling under tough conditions, and we aim to meet (and hopefully exceed!) those same expectations while offering a clean, Tesla-integrated design. If your test still shows performance issues, weโ€™d be more than happy to assist with a closer inspection or provide a replacement if needed.

Thanks again for sharing โ€” your real-world insights are incredibly valuable to both us and the community.

Unfortunately after testing the fridge the other night in my garage, it still never got cold enough to freeze the water bottle. Iโ€™m assuming mine is defective since no one else seems to be having issues with theirs.

Currently just waiting to hear back from Paul at cybergearco about exchanging the unit for a working one.
