People don't know how to become wealthy, they want to make $10K here, $5K there, it makes them feel smart.
I've literally made millions in TSLA, life changing money. The flip side of knowing when to buy is knowing when to sell.

Maybe you are unaware, but stocks like TSLA with so much untapped potential run up well in advance of the revenues.
I've been following the company since 2005 and investing in it since 2011, you really think I'm "unaware"? I watched it run up well in advance and then come crashing back down, I don't care if I "miss out" on making every penny I possibly could, I'd rather sleep well at night and keep the millions I've already made. Plus, as you well know, I don't have much confidence in the CEO and his new found "hobbies".

I was under the impression you were a bit reluctant to treat yourself to a new Cybertruck due to the price being a bit out of range. But I guess you just don't want a Cybertruck after all.

A number of things have changed to make the CT less attractive to me. Even though I can afford it the value proposition still needs to make sense, and coupled with the CT being a rolling billboard for an individual now in conflict with most of my values makes it a hard sell at this point. I'll probably end up with a Lightning F150 for now.

In my opinion, if you need a truck, the Cybertruck offers a stunningly good value. Nothing else even comes close. I'm not sure how you think an F-150 Lightning offers more value or can do anything the Cybertruck can't do. The Cybertruck is better in just about every objective way.

Question: Have you driven both of them?

No, haven't driven either of them. For my needs any full size truck will do, I just want it to be electric and have on board AC power output. The F150 will do that, without the negative "baggage" the CT brings. I was never in love with the CT, when it first drove on stage I really thought it was a joke and they would bring out the actual truck in a few minutes. Eventually the looks grew on me somewhat and with the original specs and pricing I could live with it. Now, not so much, especially with Elon 2.0.

Up again today. $447 a share!
That Elon really knows how to run companies focused like lasers to create great value! Of course, some people are so cloistered in their own thought bubble they can't even understand reality or how he is helping to create a better world for all. We need more people like Elon Musk to help humanity excel in the future and beyond.

To me it feels like we are finally coming out of the modern dark ages of sorts. DEI is deing, ooops, I mean dying! Without a merit-based system, humanity would fail. And that's only one reason why the stock just keeps climbing, people are finally starting to get it. Mary Barra has her hands full just trying to make cars profitably in the 20th century, Elon is leading us into the 21st century.

Your post blow my mind, so let me get it right
You made millions off Elons company and HIS choices but can’t stand him and his choices? But his “new hobbies “ as you put it has made the stock go through the roof and you own stock but have no faith in “his new hobbies 2.0”? You think the cyber truck is ugly but want the F150 but are in a “cybertruck owners forum “ with 19 threads and 500 post? Make it make sense ? You don’t like Elon or his politics or his cars or his choices? sell your stock don’t kick it in a CTOF bet against him and stand on business and your convictions, if any of it is True and you have morals?
You’re correct when you said ignorance is bliss
You should kiss that man’s feet if his choices and company changed you and your family's life!!!

Before 2021 I had never bought stock in my life.
During COVID I immersed myself in researching Tesla.
I had always been a fan of Alternative Energy and electric vehicles.
Being a retired military journalist I'm pretty good at research.
While watching YouTube I ran across Steven Mark Ryan and his channel "Solving the Money Problem.
Yep.......he's an arrogant Aussie but he knows Tesla inside and out.
I bought my first shares and have been buying with every spare cent.
Never sold a share and have no plans to before 2030 unless I decide to pay cash for my CT.
Today my investment is worth 110K. Small potatoes for some but not counting real estate the most my country ass has ever been worth.
ARK Investment is predicting 2600-3000 a share by 2030.
I have full faith that barring any unforeseen disaster that will happen.
Then I start putting grandkids through college.

I invested when Elon was focused on Tesla and SpaceX, and when he had a clear understanding of the importance of switching transportation to electric and the threat of climate change. He's lost focus, no longer talks about the importance of EV's, cozies up to people who are anti EV, and downplays climate change. His values have changed, not mine, and we are no longer aligned and I no longer trust his judgement. I've explained why I think the recent rise in share price is transitory and why I think it's prudent to sell some. I still probably have more shares than most of you.

I very clearly explained my thoughts about the CT, maybe you should go back and read them.

I post here because I had a reservation for a CT but have recently decided I probably won't be getting one. Again, I still have shares in the company and still have an interest in how the company does.

I never said ignorance is bliss, that's something you made up.
