Anyone have any idea how much it costs to replace the Charge Port in the Cybertruck? And how complex is that service procedure?

What problem are you having with port. Mine was replaced FOC. I had an issue where charge port cover keeps open and close for no reason. They had to replace and install new one.

The reason I ask, @Cyber AI and @SlegMD, is that the as-delivered charge port on my Cybertruck takes a great deal of force to insert and remove. My normal procedure is to use both hands (to try and make sure the charge handle remains centered and straight), place my right hip behind my right elbow, and shove forcibly. The charge port groans noticeably under this effort, especially during cold weather. Similar force is required when removing the charge handle.

My Model 3, the one Model Y loaner I was once given, and countless YouTube videos showing charge port insertions, all exhibit easy, gentle insertion/removal of the charge handle.

The Tyco Road (Tysons Corner) Service Center acknowledged the problem during a service visit last summer, but indicated it did not rise to the level of a warranty repair. I'm therefore considering having it replaced on my own dime.

Thanks for the service links, @mongo.

Ah, that is irregular, I’d make an appointment for them (Tesla SC)to correct it. You are correct that it should be very easy.

I took my truck to the same location (Tyco Rd). They were able to replace it without any cost. It doesn't hurt to try to push them to replace the unit.

Also check your charger inlet isn’t the issue

Years ago, Tesla had a batch of too tight charge ports, could be a one off issue like that.
Is the charge port door possibly misaligned relative to the port? Maybe compare to your 3.

Definitely not the charger handle. Works fine in the Model 3 (and the Model Y loaner I once had). And the problem with the Cybertruck exists at every Supercharger I've ever been to.

Visually, all looks well with the charge port door. No uneven gap or anything like that. My impression is that it simply is a too-tight sample of the plastic charge port itself. Probably just a slightly out-of-spec manufacturing lot. Doubtful if many, since I haven't heard of anyone else with the issue.
