I’m asking because the battery is inevitable. At the minimum the plug won’t work while the car is charging. Just wondering if it can be run off the DC of a power station.

That is incorrect. It won’t work with level 2 charging, but it will work with Level 3 DC.

Correct. The fridge will run while you supercharge but not if you’re plugged into level 2. Thanks for setting me straight on that one.
Fridge probably won’t even warm up in the 40 minutes it takes to supercharge but that is not unfortunately how the vast majority of charging is done.
It’s also quite energy consuming to keep the car from going to sleep by leaving all the inverters and systems on.
all I’m asking (and I’ve already bought and paid for the fridge) is whether it has a dc input.
A simple yes or no would suffice.

Apologies Twiz. Didn’t mean to snarl. Just looked at that closer. Thought you were the vendor declining to answer whether or not there was a dc input.

I stand behind that though. I run a fridge in the car right now and in my experience running any fridge without a battery on the ac port only is impractical.

I'm going to also agree here. Would have been extremely cool if the fridge lid was a tonneau cover lol....

Yeah. That would be awesome.
A fishing Cybertruck with a large ice bin in the back. If cost were no object I suppose you could put a dry ice maker in there.

If I had to guess, they probably have a 12v dc input and a power brick to convert the backseat ac signal to dc for use. Thats how most of these fridges work.
In which case a little power station under the back middle seat would work splendidly.
it would work on ac too but very inefficient so you’d need a substantially larger battery.
