That is incorrect. It won’t work with level 2 charging, but it will work with Level 3 DC.I’m asking because the battery is inevitable. At the minimum the plug won’t work while the car is charging. Just wondering if it can be run off the DC of a power station.
Apologies Twiz. Didn’t mean to snarl. Just looked at that closer. Thought you were the vendor declining to answer whether or not there was a dc input.Correct. The fridge will run while you supercharge but not if you’re plugged into level 2. Thanks for setting me straight on that one.
Fridge probably won’t even warm up in the 40 minutes it takes to supercharge but that is not unfortunately how the vast majority of charging is done.
It’s also quite energy consuming to keep the car from going to sleep by leaving all the inverters and systems on.
all I’m asking (and I’ve already bought and paid for the fridge) is whether it has a dc input.
A simple yes or no would suffice.
I'm going to also agree here. Would have been extremely cool if the fridge lid was a tonneau cover lol....I stand behind that though. I run a fridge in the car right now and in my experience running any fridge without a battery on the ac port only is impractical.
Yeah. That would be awesome.I'm going to also agree here. Would have been extremely cool if the fridge lid was a tonneau cover lol....
Currently this fridge only works with AC powerCan it run on 12v, 24v or 48v dc or does
It have to run on the ac plug?
