Iron remover, can’t recommend enough. Over time CT absorbs dirt/grime/metals that dawn or spray away does not touch. Did 7 treatments of iron remover and CT gleams better than the day I bought it. (Not saying much as Tesla keeps their CTs in dust bins with rusted nails imho)
Bought it, thanks.

Does that mean you can get it serviced in Oklahoma at a Tesla Service Center? Not that it should need much of that!

Now that you've owned it a few days, is it still as incredible as you thought?
Yes, in fact I had it serviced yesterday in Tulsa.... hey no more clicking! seriously that clicking made it feel cheap... what a difference. They had to order parts for the tailgate... said it's usually an alignment issue, but my brackets were actually broken - wonder how that happened before I took delivery.

I did several coats with initial treatment. Make sure you don’t care about where truck is parked, you may get staining and metal deposits (ie iron), sloughing etc. Wear gloves, possibly mask based on your sensitivity. Do in shade.

Wash truck

Segment truck into quadrants, apply one quadrant at a time. Spray on, keep wet for 2-5 minutes. Spray off with hose, the first application features a lot of contaminants that aren’t worth wiping yet. I’d do this 2x per quadrant unless you’re satisfied.

Edit truck will look awful from the runoff initially, multiple passes will correct this

I’d then do a final light mist of iron remover, 30s then wipe with micro, should only be purple and relatively clean. If not follow up with a panel prep type solution or rubbing alcohol. Then repeat with both.

I had to quit watching as soon as they said you can't fix sanding inconsistencies, don't touch it, it's just part of the charm. I've sanded my Cybertruck numerous times, right in my driveway, and it completely fixes any inconsistencies and is dead simple to do. It also fixes the "tiger striping" vehicles get when off-roading through brush.

It funny because the video opens with them explaining how they are going to fix all the misinformation out there about detailing the Cybertruck. Then they proceed to say ignorant things that shows they don't know what they are talking about.

Multiple YouTube detailers have pointed out that iron-remover is one of the more expensive chemicals out there, and suggest using mechanical action (i.e., scrubbing) to maximize the effect.

The smell is strong, but I don't find it repulsive. Nevertheless, wear gloves. I washed my hands a dozen times and still didn't get the smell out hahahaha

Gus does mention an important part that I left out, I do scrub the panels when iron remover is applied, thank you for the correction. Used soft sponge 🧽, chemical does the work.

This video came out before there was an established method published by Tesla. They recommended against trying to alter the grain of the SS, which I would say is the conservative approach, which I would appreciate for the time. As you detailed quite well in your thread, it is fairly straightforward process. Things change.

Regardless, the video is about decontamination of the panels. I followed the steps, altered some, and had significant improvement with the appearance of the panels that dawn would not rectify. Thanks for your opinion!

As many others have said, SprayWay and microfiber towerls has been my go-to after watching several videos on ceramic coatings. If it's really bad, i'll use some Meguire's with ceramic in it (so it says) and then wipe dry. Comes out pretty good. Dishsoap was a no-go in my experience.
