The recall for the motor is for CT made NOV 13, 2023 - JUN 06, 2024 The supplier was testing the motors with too large of a load and damaged the transistor on the control board.

The trim is for all vehicles made from m November 13, 2023, to May 26,2024 it was an improper installation of the adhesive strips at factory and from part supplier. Changes to procedures have been made and checks are being done before delivery

They must be fixing a lot of these issues pre delivery because I pick my truck up tomorrow and the website says
0 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN
Looking at the site the NTSA has put these under the AWD VIN but not the cyberbeast which is wrong the notices say all CT. But since they were already fixed yours may be unaffected.

My vin, 88XX is affected according to that link. Lucky enough I haven’t had a problem and maybe I’m in the minority, but I love the function of that massive single wiper.
Same here. 88XX Beast. No wiper motor issue but the trim on drivers side is pretty wavy and not straight so hopefully this turns into a replacement.

Does anyone have the answer to the question that has been asked a few times: How will Tesla be handling this recall? On a voluntary basis by contacting service? Or will they proactively reach out? Does anyone know? There does not appear to be a "recall" option in the app.

I thought I read somewhere in the NHTSA notice that Tesla doesn't even have to send out a recall letter until mid August.

While we are on the topic of sails falling off. My drivers side mirror shakes when ~80+ mph since delivery at the beginning of May, sometimes it's so severe it feels like it's about to fly off. I scheduled a service appointment the day of delivery, but they have pushed it out multiple times and it's not until the second week of July.

Fairly disappointing to have to drive the truck for 2 months with this issue before it's resolved. Hopefully they can handle both of these recalls during my scheduled appointment.

UPDATE:
Checked in with Tesla and it sounds like they will handle everything during my appointment. They said the repairs could take up to 3 days.

Over 11k Cybertrucks have been recalled due to the wiper motor potentially having electrical overstress.

Tesla recalls thousands of Cybertrucks over windshield wiper, exterior trim issues

June 25, 2024

June 25 (Reuters) - Tesla is recalling 11,688 Cybertruck electric pickup trucks as a failure of the windshield wiper could reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.

The EV maker also is recalling 11,383 units of the pickup truck as a trim in the trunk bed could have been improperly attached, potentially becoming loose and creating a road hazard for motorists behind, a separate notice from the NHTSA said.

"Excessive electrical current can cause the front windshield wiper motor controller to fail," the auto safety regulator said in a recall acknowledgement letter on Monday.
The company's service team will replace the wiper motor and apply an adhesion promoter and pressure sensitive tape or replace the missing trim free of charge for affected vehicles, the letters said.
Thanks

113xx AWD, delivered 05/30.

Both recalls apply to mine. I've already got an appointment to replace the motor, hopefully they can address the sail trim at that appointment.

My Cyberbeast's VIN is included for both wiper motor and rear sail applique recalls. The wiper is acting goofy, it will wipe down but would stay in the horizontal position :cautious:
