I'm on 1-yr FSD trial in my CT until May then Tesla will charge my account as a sell transaction, but since Feb-10 we are no longer able to purchase FSD, should I go ahead purchase FSD before Feb-10? or will Tesla honor the sell at FSD trial deadline in May? I'd rather wait until May due to tax season. Any advice? your input is greatly appreciated.

I am hooked on LSD, I mean FSD. The real question/problem is will subscription rates remain at 100 per month. At that price, i would say don’t pay the 8k. Mainly because you can’t transfer unless a promotion going on. But if rates jump back to 200 per month then you are better off purchasing now.

At the moment, If you plan to keep your truck for a while, then get it now.

I would get it now, no idea if you can really ask CS and get an accurate answer that will be honored in May. I would not take the chance.

I think we all know what can happen if you wait until the final hour with Tesla...

Still think its bs that the purchase out right option is being taken away simply to entice people to purchase a subscription for the sole purpose of Elons pay package. As an investor removal of an option due to a CEO pay package should be illegal af.

I don't think the price would go up from $100/month. Not a lot of buyers/subs at 100/month why would more buyers/subs appear at $200/month?

Price Elasticity of Demand.

Has their been a mainstream subscription service in the past 10 years that hasn't gone up?

True. But knowing Elon still wants/expect it to be $199/month, I would count on it creeping back up to that price, eventually.
I am hopeful it would be more affordable. When I purchased I was able to get 0% apr if I purchased FSD instead I gambled on it being available for less and took the 2.49% which is about $5,000 in interest through the life of the loan. In my head I would have paid an extra $3,000 for FSD.

I am still also hopeful of autopilot. I think that's all I really need but that may not be a thing for CT.
