It really is...people always ask me how I like the truck and it is simply the best thing I have ever driven.
lol people get upset and give me awkward looks when I say it’s the best vehicle I’ve driven lol I hope they do drop to 35k i’d buy 4 more for family

He has made it clear awhile ago where he stands politically and that he is not a fan of Elon so I know this is coming from a biased place but thoughts on his prediction?
I don't think any rational person cares about his take on the Cybertruck, most people who post here know 10X-1000X more about the Cybertruck than he does. The resale values speak for themselves, and will continue to.

If he is biased against Elon, it'd be hard to consider his CT price prediction credible.

Ridiculous discussion. Doug has not shown a bias against tesla or elon. He's also not political, but I've read through the lines and suspect he has many moderate conservative views and keeps it quiet.

The H2 comparison is apt. I dont know of any other vehicle that went as quickly from a status symbol to hated as the H2 and Cybertruck. For the H2 it was shitty quality, gas prices, and GM going bankrupt. For the Cybertruck it was its polarizing design for a truck, and its CEO joining a divisive administration.

As far as values, most cars are worth 50% in 3 years, and that was my expectation going in. Maybe even quicker, because driving down cost and lowering prices for mass market is teslas entire business model. Plus I knew I was paying a premium for Foundation that would quickly disappear. In our case the only thing that has offset depreciation is lower than expected sales, which is not exactly good news. Eighteen months from now will be 4 years in. I dont see why it's unreasonable to believe that miled-up non FSD examples won't be in that 50% range by then, which happens to be 35-40000.

As a huge fan of the HMMWV, I was so disappointment when the released the H2. Like legitimately mad that it had the same name. Then the H3 was released and I Knew GM was no longer a company to take seriously.

Also posting links to his content you don’t, just gives them more money and encourages more videos. There is a chance he likes the CyberTruck, just likes money more.
Agree with the Humvee, awesome off roader. I remember going to the Chicago Auto Show and seeing the "Prototype H2" It was a 2500 chevy truck frame and engine, modified with full locking front and rear axels, 2 speed rock transfer like the Jeep Rubicon has now. Coil Over Shocks like a trophy truck, I believe it have 33 or 35 inch mud tires on it. I remembered sitting in it and thinking if they really build it like this and its affordable I would buy one being a long time Jeep off roader. Of course we all know what hit production. It was a Mall cruiser with fancy wheel and none of the offroad capability, They finally offered a "Adventure" package in which you got a rear locker. Wow.... And lets talk cost, most I saw were in the $75K and above range, way out at that time for most people who would of bought one. I bought my 2007 Rubicon about the same time, there is no comparison. The Jeep can out crawl, out forge, out drive the H2 any day. They were even made here in Mishawaka, in. I don't even want to talk about the H3..... So sorry to, if any of the people that might be here and own a H2, but we ran with the H1 and H2 Chicago Hummer group and our Jeep group at the Humvee Military Testing Grounds here in South Bend IN. Nice People for sure! Just picked the wrong Truck if they wanted something that could do the things a H1 could do....

If it’s worth $35k, I’ll buy 3 more.
The battery storage alone for home solar is worth more than that.
Dude is a click baiter. A master one.
1000% agree. if it drops to 35K i would buy another.

unfortunately or fortunately there are only a limited number of CT sold. don't we as the consumers control the price more than a "common" car? if we all refuse to sell or trade it in at a lower price cant we just keep the vehicle value higher than what a corp would be willing to pay for it?

Someone once told me, "The Cybertruck is like a Mobile Fortress."

To me, with the latest FSD and Grok software, the Cybertruck is a 'Self-Driving A.I.-Assist Bullet-Proof Robo-Fortress.'

Nothing even come close in the market. $35K!? I will buy another.
