Right now you get tariffed. In normal times you get dutied. I've looked at it a lot because the markup for premium cars is often greater than the dollar difference. Companies gouge Canada. I was looking at importing a BMW 430 convertible from FLA and the savings even with the duty was greater than 10%. Not the case with Tesla though, their markup is pretty much exactly the dollar diff. But the Tariff still applies. US often has better quarter ending incentives and financing, but again that's useless for importing a car. So now I wait, take some Cybertruck test drives and drool with envy. And wait for the government to either do something or get brought down and voted out.I agree. That’s very steep.
let’s say you’re in Vancouver and buy a car in Seattle? How does it work if you want to bring it back with you?
Or in Montreal and you buy a car in Vermont.
