One benefit I see is it enables you to charge the truck from solar (albeit slowly) if you are camping or otherwise off-grid for an extended time. I have a similar setup for this (but not as cool looking as the OP).not meaning to piss on your parade but couldn't you just drive 5 less miles? Sounds like a lot of time and expense ... and for what?
The outlet does stay active when driving so that's not it.It looks like it's to power external accent lighting. At least that's what I can guess from the short videos. I'm struggling to understand why the onboard inverter can't be used. Maybe it can't stay on in motion or for extended periods?
