Hi Cybertruck owners,

Nihon Coating here šŸ‘‹
If fingerprints on stainless steel are driving you nuts, we’ve been testing something that really helps: SILAZANE50, our high-density polysilazane coating. 100% developed and manufactured in Japan. It is not a "ceramic wax" nor a "name-only" ceramic coating, but a full spec ceramic coating . Same results with coating done by a professional detailer, but you can easily apply it yourself! Over 500,000+ trusted users in Japan and Asia. Used also by Toyota dealers in Japan.

⭐ Why Cybertruck owners like it
  • Fingerprints wipe off way easier — just wipe with microfiber
  • 50Ɨ denser protection than traditional ceramic coatings
  • Rain-ready in 30 minutes
  • DIY-friendly — full coating in about half an hour
  • Hydrophobic, scratch-resistant, and helps reduce water spots
  • Coat everywhere — can be coated literally everywhere on the car: paint, windows, chrome parts, resin parts, rims.
  • Can be applied on top of PPF wraps.
  • One coating will last 3 years.
It doesn’t change the raw Cybertruck look — just makes the surface smoother, cleaner, and way less annoying to maintain.

If anyone wants application tips, happy to share.

Hi, quick question. You mentioned that SILAZANE50 can be applied on top of PPF. I’m not planning to do this myself, but I’m curious—can it also be applied on top of an existing ceramic coating, or would the previous coating need to be fully removed first for proper bonding?
Just trying to understand the limitations and best-practice application. Thanks!

ā€œThis product is not available for shipping to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Rhode Island due to local regulationsā€

Many products are like this. I see a business opportunity for a company to purchase prohibited items and for a small fee ship the item(s) to the end user.

Very hopeful this product will work.
But many of us have been "hurt before" with miracle coatings that are supposed to help with fingerprints and NOT screw up our trucks
Protectaclear
Cyberwax
Ceramics
etc
etc

Maybe this will be The One

You can coat it over existing ceramic coating, only if it is not a "wax" product saying it's a ceramic coating. If it is a "wax" product, which normally includes silicone, our product and most other full spec ceramic coating products will not bond.

My guess is that it would just lead to a lawsuit.
Years ago my small business in Indiana got hit with a prop 65 lawsuit from an attorney in California. We make beer brewing equipment out of stainless. I believe it was a rubber or plastic handle on a part of a product that doesn’t touch the beer in anyway. Turns out that plastic or rubber had a chemical in it that was on the California prop 65 list. They found it in one of our products on a retailers shelf. It didn’t have a warning sticker saying that it could cause cancer in California. Never mind that you would have to eat the plastic or rubber handle to cause cancer since it doesn’t touch the actual beverage you are making.

Turns out there are entire law firms that go out looking for products that don’t have the right caution label for the state of California. They then notify the state and send a warning out to the business of how they are violating the California law and if they don’t settle on damages and start applying the label then you will be turned over to the state. At that point you get fined for every product, I believe per day, that has been on a shelf in California. It turns into a massive fine at that point, and anybody who bought a product with that material from you can file for damages. Despite the fact that it didn’t and wouldn’t actually hurt anyone. So businesses agree to a settlement with the law firm to not turn them in to the state. The law firms get the majority of the money and a percent goes to the state of California. You start labeling every product with an approved prop 65 label, and go about your business. We almost decided to stop selling in California. I understand the original intent of prop 65 but now it is just a money grab. The settlement is always less than it would cost you to fight it in court and win. Putting a label on every product doesn’t make it cause less cancer. It just makes people ignore the warning when they see it on everything.
Sorry, long post on that one but I would guess selling products in the state with a banned material or chemical ingredient would lead to something similar.
