The new design would keep it roughly the same height as OEM. The spacers would actually raise the height of the screen to whatever thickness the spacer is.
your thinking about it upside down. the spacers would have to go on the bottom of the bracket to make room for the usb cable thus lowering the screen. the bracket is threaded and goes on top of the brackets on the back of the screen.

I’m not exactly sure that modification would be adequate. I guess we will find out. Meanwhile, I absolutely am enjoying the new screen position.

Thanks, tide80, for posting your dimensions! I ordered V2 as well before all the issues started being posted. Rather than go through the return process, I used your method to notch the bracket. This worked just fine. I measured 32 times and actually dry-mounted the bracket to double-check everything. I used some yellow electrical tape to line things up, which worked very well. I have included pictures for anyone else who is going down this route. I haven't driven yet with the new install. I will provide an update once I have used the tilt for a while.

Let us know how this works out. It's hard to tell from the pics because it doesn't show the depth of the mill cut. It'll work if it's deep enough.

Here's an update on the bracket fitment and install. I recently received a new bracket from Tesstudio with the "cutout" for the power supply. I installed it and it works perfectly. I'll attach a photo of the new bracket and the finished install.
Overall, I am very happy with the finished product. I think it was somewhat misrepresented initially, but I am pleased with it now that I have it installed.

I highly recommend this video for the install. I ran across this guy when searching YouTube. His video is excellent and very thorough! It does take a while to install though, probably 30 to 40 minutes.

Got the updated bracket today. It fits great now. They milled out a section for the connector, a 2 step section. It looks like one of the previous pictures posted. Here is a picture of the bracket installed with the connector. I can even wiggle the connector a little bit so i know it’s not binding on the bracket anymore..

Wish they would have sent me an updated one. Mine's still janky as I don't feel like pulling it all apart and trying to mill it myself.

send them a message on WhatsApp. That’s what I did. I told them I don’t feel comfortable with leaving it on, I was worried it could mess up my screen. So they asked if they could send me a modified bracket that will fit.

I watched this video too and my reaction was similar to yours. What a nice thorough dude right? Can’t possibly be on anyone elses but an owners agenda right? Seems like one of us. So what if they sent him the bracket for free?
Well, I want to point out this video was made before there were ANY fixes for the brackets and he didn’t so much as make mention of the problem. It might have been the first on YouTube, I don’t know for sure but it was very early.
He used the same bracket I have sitting in my living room right now which is physically impossible to install without notching or crushing the plug. Not a fucking word. Not a breath of warning, maybe a “you should wait until they fix this and then order” nothing.
I no longer believe anything these paid off shills have to say.
