So probably dumb question, but why are the back doors different than the front for emergency exits? Is it due to kids pulling them open?

This raises a good concern with a bright colored pull strap too… what happens if a kid sees it and says ooh pretty and yanks it? Granted, unlikely they will fall out or that the door will actually swing open while driving due to air pressure but still. The car will freak out

For me, kids falling out of the truck on the highway is their problem. Kids burning inside my truck is my problem. :D

My kids are always in car seats high above this area and strapped into a five point harness when driving. Granted, they can unbuckle themselves because I have an unbuckler tool on there for them but they would have to deliberately do that, get out of the seat, crawl on the floor, remove the insert and then pull it pretty hard. If all that happens in the back seat while I’m driving, FSD or not, and I still don’t know about it, I kind of blame myself for not paying attention whatsoever.

Ordered. These are brilliant! Corporate was just expressing her concern about the kids being able to open the back doors in case of emergency. Thanks so much for posting!

So, likely the wrong forum but since we’re discussing this, how would you guys attach one of these to the little wire with a nub inside the model x falconwing speaker cover?
If you have never seen it, it looks a bit like a bicycle brake line

Do they not have the red end with "Manual Door Release" as shown in the Amazon pictures?
Not sure…to be honest, i did not care. I just need something bright that can be seen easily. My CT is at home right now. Will check tonight.

100% agree. I even ordered the Cybertruck Terrestrial Armor to help reduce the chance of a fire through increased protection and rigidity, even if its only a fraction of a percent. Most of the people who have burned to death in Cybertrucks involve drinking and driving, so that is how I expect to improve my chances the most.

These door release tags and a fire extinguisher are items I never expect to use, but I have them just in case.
