I'm not sure you want to go through the pain of stripping it off the lightbar now that it's on there, with the adhesion promotor, that would be a brutal job. I tend to only buy VHB from trusted retailers (uLine, mostly, or Lowes/HD if its anormal size) as there's so many fakes on Amazon, eBay etc, in fact the majority are likely fake. Below are the prices from uLine, the real stuff isn't cheap. People ask all the time why our Rimtrims are so expensive compared to stuff on Aliexpress, Amazon etc, and this is why, the real 3M products are 4-5x what the clones cost.
Anyway, back to the point, if I were you, I wouldn't undo what you've already done, unless it seems like it'll come off easily and cleanly (if it does, it's for sure a bad product). Otherwise, plug on, and just check it every now and then. This stuff doesn't spontaneously fail, it'll occur over time, so just give the lightbar a prod every now and then.
