You might want to try CyberSudZ. I have not tried it myself because my CyberTruck is wrapped.

CyberSudZ
Why would you recommend a product costing $45/quart that you have no direct experience with?

Congratulations, BTW! You'll love it!

There are as many opinions as owners. Some are vehement.
This has worked great for me on the windows and the fingerprints. Probably sacrilege to one of the vehement crowd. 🙂

A pack of microfiber clothes from Sam's or Costco is a good investment too. Don't use fabric softener when you wash them or it will smear.

Sprayaway.. KICKS ASS... highly recommended.. Also a windshield cleaning pad you can attach to a handle for cleaning the inside of the glass. I recommend something from Unger.. Their stuff works and is solid quality.

Any suggestions for this new owner? I've ordered a bunch of accessories to try out from amazon. Any suggestions on fingerprint treatment if I want to keep the SS look? Looking for car covers right now. Any feedback on the Tesmanian brand?
Congrats!! I bet you're super psyched after waiting so long. You're gonna love it!

Regarding Tesmanian, I've bought stuff from them since 2020 and everything was fine until I bought the rear pet seat cover from them. I got it and it was way too big and did not match the item description on their site. I'm still dealing with them to refund me the full amount including my cost to ship it back to them ($33). They're support is SUPER slow to respond...think weeks or months to respond. Given this whole experience, I'd say find another retailer that has good customer service.

Cybertruckgearco and Abstract Ocean have been really good in my experience.

I don't trust anyone without an avatar, so I made you one using Grok.

You're going to love it. I look forward to driving it everyday....it keeps getting better and better. I went from a 2022 Raptor that I had to wash once I week. I haven't washed the Cyber once...the finger prints sort of go away once you learn to open the door by grabbing from the inside once you press the door release button

The stainless steel doesn't need a coating. Fingerprints are the biggest mountain out of a molehill I've seen in my 62 years. As others have testified, a quick spray and wipe using Sprayway and a microfiber takes any fingerprints right off. Easy peasy.

And don't listen to OutofSpec Detailing videos, they have a chemical heavy strategy that will make you look like the Sisyphus of car detailing. In case you are not familiar, Sisyphus' claim to fame was the endless pushing of a heavy rock to the top of a hill, only to have it roll back down and struggle to do it all over again, endlessly. The Out of Spec strategy will create endless work and expense on detailing products.

You want to wash it with soap and water, rinse well, and let exposure to oxygen create the passivation layer. You can speed it up with Citra Surf 77 if you want but it's not necessary. the more the passivation layer builds, The more oily the hands need to be to leave prints. Either way, a quick wipe with Sprayway takes them right off.

Anyone who tells you it's difficult to take care of a Cybertruck doesn't know what they are doing. It loves rain and soap and water. I park mine out in the rain, snow and sun 24/7 and it's dead simple to take care of. If you have hard water you will want to towel dry it after a hose rinse to prevent mineral spots, just like any painted car.

Wow! Okay! Now we're getting somewhere. Are you telling me to return the car cover I purchased or are there times to use it... well I'm in Oklahoma... hail? maybe? Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm still reading through them.

I agree Ceramic coating. First thing I did was wipe down the truck with Iron Out and then had it Ceramic coated. Now after 1 Year and 3 months I have only washed it once it basically just stays clean.
I spoke to a local shop and their ceramic coating sucks. I'm picking up that dependent on what ceramic coating you use, makes all the difference. So how did you navigate that choice?

What about tints? I was going to get 55% on the windshield and 30% on the sides. Leave the ceiling and back window alone. And I was going to go with xpel xrplus. I know nothing about window tinting.

Heard the same. Maybe I used the wrong Windex but it left a haze/streaks.
Sprayaway is magic sauce

Thanks man. I ordered it before seeing this, I'll update on this thread. Good to know which sites have some integrity.

Do it yourself and learn from these guys; they are the real deal. Guaranteed better job, and probably 6-8x cheaper. I have a kit ready to apply, but waiting for cooler weather.
