So, after reading all the feedback, and doing tiring research and learning just how expensive inflators are for tires Cybertruck sized, $500 for an excellent inflator and repair kit isn’t so unreasonable after all. Sure, I could go with much cheaper alternatives, but if I needed to do an emergency repair and inflate a tire from flat, not much else would work. For most of us, inflators $100 and less would work for 90% of the time. Being prepared for the other 10% might require a more substantial investment.
M18 inflator from Milwaukee will do Semi truck tires so should be good for CT and costs 179$ at Home Depot. It's what I use on my vehicles and work like a charm. It's small too.

I wish now I had gone all Milwaukee battery tools, instead of Ryobi. Oh, well.

Honestly its a wasteful spend. You can get a really useful one I use when off-roading. It covers easily all 4 tires on the CT on a charge and is easy to recharge from the truck itself. https://

Exactly how are you recharging this 12v item from the trucks 48v or 120v or 240v? Can it charge via the USB-C? Maybe that’s what you are saying; Just trying to understand.

Seems similar I guess To the Fanttik S100 ($40@Costco) but with a larger battery. Very very slow for our purposes on the cybertruck saying 29-36psi in 2 minutes and only 20 minutes run time per full charge. Heaven forbid you dont get a flat and have to do 0 to 50. I think the Tesla option is still shining here Unless someone finds a really fast/reliable 120v powered pump.

My plan is to buy a 30A 120v to 12v converter. Then I can use my old air pump but also power some LED lights for a camp or anything else that needs 12v.

I ordered mine in January. Still haven't received it, and they said it was in stock. The app gives me the run around for support, and eventually has me call a phone number with no shop options. Anyone know how to contact Tesla about the status of a shop order? Tesla really has to work on their customer support!

I discovered my Tesla air compressor and tire repair kit from my Model Y won’t work on the Cybertruck, because there’s no “cigarette lighter” outlet on the Cybertruck. Can anyone explain why I should spend $550 for the Tesla equivalent Cybertruck product?

Nobody forcing you to spend. It’s optional and great if you do off-road on daily basis.

Don't even need as beefy as 30A, I believe cigarette lighter adapters are typically fused at 10A. If there is a need to run more than one 12V accessory then having multiple of these could be more convenient given 120V outlets on CT are in different locations :

Still, I am confused why OP is perpetually confused. What was your MOS in the Navy ? :)

There is another thread that discusses option to the Tesla compressor. I own the Tesla one, but I almost bought another 120v charger made by TC BL. It is powerful and fast but does. I read that it does not have the same auto shutoff that the Tesla one does so you have to know what you are doing.

Confused why the Tesla air compressor is so expensive? Not anymore, after seeing these replies and doing more research. I appreciate the value of “crowdsourcing” to help me understand.

Anyone have any idea when the Tesla compressor is supposed to be in stock again? I have one of the original $2500 credits so I’m waiting until I can include this. Most of the other items have now maintained better inventory levels after the initial surges.
