If it were specifically exclusively Teslas shares falling, I'd agree. This was set in motion awhile ago however.

I do think it's weird they left the bodies out for so long at what is typically the start point and a point of focus on the drone videos. Surely Tesla isn't catering to the daily drone guys? I don't know.

But both Brad and Jeff's video' showcased the bodies.
The drone pilots do a circuit of all or most of the active areas every time they fly. Joe focuses on the loading docks and especially lately because there are a lot of deliveries for the paint shop. I think that Tesla does what they do on whatever scale they do it without much thought to the drone pilots. Any conjecture beyond that is probably wishful thinking to one degree or another.

Just makes me again think all the more likely for a November event. I’ve said 21st cause 3 years but I’d like to revise that cause realizing Thanksgiving is that week.

I firmly believe both we will see it next month, and it will be mentioned on the call.

I believe in the event solely due to the fact, they don’t want all the slick cool features and secrets to leak during tooling. They need to unveil it themselves. That needs to happen sooner than later.

Sadly, Tesla has a history of *not* unveiling features and specs. They do exactly what they have been doing. They do their normal work, at whatever rate they are doing it, some of which will be seen by people who are constantly looking for such things (i.e., all of us), and then suddenly one day CT reservation holders will get configuration mails and we will be off. At some point in between people will see test vehicles on the streets here and there, someone will see an EPA application, and a CT manual will appear on the Tesla website. That is how we will find things out. All this other stuff is wishful thinking (I wish it too) that only leads to more letdowns if they don't happen.

Delivery events are a thing, but you’re right about u veil.

I think that this truck is pretty different from what was shown, and there will be a reunveiling due to it having been 3 years.

price, specs.. it’s all over the place. Mostly the same. But given time passed I think there will be something. History is something to look at, but they've put a lot of focus into this truck.

I hope you are right.

By the way, when they did the delivery event for Giga Texas Model Ys they didn't say anything about features or specs - they just handed 20 people their Model Ys and that was it. For the Model S Plaid delivery event they did talk about the graphite-wrapped rotor so there is some precedent for some kind of feature presentation, on occasion. I guess we'll see next month if your hypothesis bears fruit.

Yea, Cybertruck legit had more attention than the Giga Texas Y@ Rodeo. I wouldn't actually count that as a new vehicle, certainly not the level of Cybertruck. There is no designation of difference in that either within marketing.

If I am reading right, there is more preorders for the Cybertruck than there are Y's on the road all together. With this much anticipation, and with so much still left unknown - we will see.

The cheeky "next time, I promise. I promise." from Fronz at Cyber Rodeo regarding smashing the glass is a stretch but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We will know soon.

True, but not for much longer at the pace they're making them.

Ya! The ramp is pretty incredible. Numbers on Texas are another exciting earnings piece.

But if there is an event, I'm going to Texas.

I have tried to go to every event since the Cybertruck was at the Petersen (fool that I am I should have driven down to LA then but didn't) and have never won the lottery. Given that only the Illuminati seem to get invited (or if you take a chance and camp out there - which it sounds like you are planning) I wouldn't hold my breath on attending said event (given that it happens).

All this naysaying aside, you make good points about Franz and the newness of the Cybertruck and the number of reservations (which, by the way, we long since lost track of).

I happen to believe that the videos that were shared here that claim the CT will have 4-wheel electronic braking, 4-wheel steering, and real laser headlights are all reasonable and logical conjectures and fit the "technology bandwagon" moniker. They all merit a special introduction as well. I am still hoping for camera-managed side views myself.

I GOT YOUR VOTE ;) Dude, here's hoping. I'm personally hoping for less insane features, because price will be beckoned with that pile. But, dang that'd be sick!

I wonder what we have zero idea about still. Like what they're legit hiding about it. Mid gate? The above mentions by you? One thing I realized recently was the bed width on at least the launch model was in fact 48" clear inside, given they rolled a quad into the bed. But, we probably should forget all about that truck. Seriously.

I love this stupid ugly truck they're making. It's been a frustratingly long ride, I am ready for my truck.

Me too.

I think that a truck that is 80” wide will be more than 48” on the inside.

You can't overcome the physics of clearance between the wheel wells though, so 48" is about all you will get. In the back they need around 16" each side for the wheel well, which only gives them 4" to do clearance from the wheel through bodywork to the bed. And they need room for the rear 4WS angle. So I don't know they are doing it even now.
