Awww, I just bought a different adapter a few days ago.

The order page says it's 250kW max.

....meanwhile the CCS chargers on my rural drive are now $$$$$ compared to Tesla Superchargers, so doubtful I will ever use my A2Z adapter.

Nice to finally see a Tesla option!

Luckily, I’ve never needed a CCS adapter when I’ve been on road trips. Hopefully I never will, because $200 is steep for something I may never need. With all manufacturers now on the NACS, it is unlikely any domestic travel will require this. The J1772 adapter that came with the truck has been useful in certain scenarios. But also rare.

I’m planning a trip to New Mexico through Roswell, which is at least 100 miles away from the nearest Supercharger. For that trip, it’s CCS or bust.

I’ve plotted routes that use Superchargers only, but it’s a significant detour, and still leaves little margin for error without access to 3rd-party charging.

Fair point. I guess if I were planning on routing through roads less traveled, it would be a worthwhile investment. Being in the northeast, I’ve never encountered a road trip I couldn’t tackle with NACS and J1772. And I’ve driven south to Virginia (DC area) and all the way north to Maine (Bar Harbor), close to Nova Scotia. Or as the locals refer to it, BAH HAHBHAH.

That’s so weird. The link opens the app for me but doesn’t show the product and when I go to the menu under adapters it shows the j1772 adapter and mobile connector attachments but not that. I can Ven find it in a Google search but when I sign in with a Tesla account it opens my phone app and does not show it. I have a CT and model x in my account.

Wasn't working for me last night, said no vehicle delivered. Now it's back and working, just ordered.

My rationale: expect to rarely need, but there is a hotel in a town I visit a few times a year that has a CCS EVGo in the parking garage. Would be convenient to charge since it means I won't need to charge en route as it's a couple hundred miles each way. Right now I pit stop at a Supercharger along the way, this would save me the stop.

PS couldn't find it in the app, only could find it and purchase on the web site.

I'm also running into troubles this on the Tesla page. Was able to add it to the cart but does not allow me to check out with a deactivated Place Order button.

Update: I waited on this screen for a few more minutes and the Place Order button became active. Was able to complete order.

I bought a MCEVKELN adapter several months ago, and I have used it 3 times. One at a ChargePoint 200kW charge in Fairplay, CO, as there was no Tesla supercharger anywhere near, and twice at a 300kW Rivian charger in Del Norte, CO because is was an even split between Denver and Pagosa Springs. At both stations, I was able to get the maximum charge rate. Although, one of the 2 ChargePoint chargers would not connect to my CT. No issues at Rivian.

At Fairplay ChargePoint charger:
