I just hit 31k on my Goodyear AT tires. I still had about 4-6/32nd on the Goodyears but with the rain and snow finally coming I thought I'd go ahead and switch. I do a lot of highway driving but also do the occasional off-roading for fun. I've only just got the tires today but so far I really like them. Garage smells like rubber again when I first got the truck almost 2 years ago.

I went to America's tire (discount tire) about an hour away from me since they had them in stock there. So I took the opportunity to record watts per mile there and back.

This is what I got there (trip B):

And this was on the way back almost the same route:

I used FSD both ways on hurry and there was some traffic on the way back which maybe accounted for the better mileage. I'll try to keep this updated with how they do but so far I really like them compared to stock Goodyears. I do hear slightly more noise at highway speeds, and I noticed at one point my scroll wheels vibrating. But they don't seem any rougher than stock Goodyears.

Anyone know if the foam in the Goodyear tires comes out easily when they take the tire off the rim? I saw a bunch of it fall out when they were taking the tires away. Might be kinda hard to see in this picture but it's like a strip of foam with a hole in it.

I know the foam comes loose and usually causes vibration. This happened to me within the first 7500 miles. That’s when I sold those tires and got my KO3s
I didn't have any vibrations that I noticed, but I was very surprised that it had all fallen out so easily.

KO3 is a nice tire. It’s very hard to compare tire efficiency on a one way trip. The wind could be hurting in one direction and helping in the other. Could also have elevation change helping in one direction and hurting in the other. I would bet your efficiency numbers are heavily influenced by environment. All the owner accounts I’ve read have the KO3 being less efficient than the oem AT tires. They are a good tire. Just more aggressive and by nature of the tread pattern will be less efficient. Still interested to hear your experience and thoughts after about a month.
I personally was forced to switch from oem all seasons to an LT AT due to rock punctures on 3 separate trips to my land on the all seasons. I went with an off road all terrain similar to the KO3. Nitto recon grapplers. I like them overall but did see a range hit roughly 10%. Tire noise is not bad is higher in comparison since the all seasons were whisper quiet. I think I personally will go with Terra Grappler g3 or a similar on-road all terrain tire next time to limit the range loss. I have been out to the land twice with the new tires and no rock issues at all so far. No ruck chunking or chipping and definitely no punctures.

I expect the range to be less, I was just surprised by this one short trip. I don't worry since there are so many superchargers, but I really wish we had the original 500 miles of range. Thanks for your feedback!

It's attached to the outer surface of the tire - it it comes loose, it can throw off your tire balance (I had one tire they removed all the foam because it separated from the tire). This was at 5K miles, I'm at 30K miles now with no problems.

If you have it flaking off, it's a good thing you are getting new tires - once it breaks free it balls up and really messes up the ride. I had to drive 600 miles with bouncing steering wheel to finish a trip because Tesla service is so backed up and no one else would remove the foam (liability).

I’ve done BFG and Michelin warranty ask and it went well, easy
They had Mavis inspect and sent me a check
Then went to Costco for the replacmebts
Tipped Mavis $30

How about Goodyear warranty with the foam issue? Easy?
