I agree on the gaps. Also looks like once this is installed, it cannot be used with any other rod rack or anything else mounted that would use those mounts.

Looks great. It looks like there is a windshield spacer between the bar and windshield. (I skipped around the video, so maybe I missed the install of that part.) I wonder if that will obstruct a lot of airflow?

seems like a gap there would help with aero a lot, instead of being a giant air dam. ?‍♂

It has 45 bulbs on the actual light bar, not including the LED light strip. It's super bright at night, I have it installed on my CT. I have a video, but it's hard to tell because in person is way brighter then a video but you can check out my video if you haven't.

I just watched your video that is really cool! If you already have a stock light bar installed will this go on top of the one would it fit both?
After months of waiting, my XKmax Light Bar from XKGLOW finally arrived yesterday. Overall I am quite pleased though I've only messed around with it a little bit.

Here are my first impressions:
  • Build quality seems solid, instructions were clear, and it took about an hour to get installed.
  • Extra items needed were a wire stripper, heat gun, electrical tape and socket wrench.
  • XKmax app is easy to pair, mostly intuitive and has plenty of preset themes and customization.
  • Didn't notice any extra wind noise driving around town up to 65 mph.

And some vids in light bar mode and preset themes (sorry for the poor quality):

Will this actually mount over the OEM light bar so you can have dual light bars?

Looks nice but the $1200 price tag is way out of my budget.

Yeah some of these are definitely not road legal. I really like the music EQ mode but I can't record from the same phone.

Here's a few from the app:

Wow, glad I placed it this morning before the jump.
Got it installed today, I see what you all mean on the narrow area to install the M6 bolts into the hex standoffs. Mine came with a cut off half height Allen wrench and it was still difficult to fit it in. But once done it seems to fit well and is excellent quality (metal) compared to the oem lightbar. Love the functionality. I have much to learn, I imagine you can toggle the light on/off somehow via the Tesla app? Or no?

I installed mine this weekend. The quality is excellent and I like that I get use out of it even when not off-road thanks to the DRL mode.

I got mine delivered Friday and installed it that night.

Curious if everyone else’s side mount brackets are a bit offset from the cantrail trim. Causing a bigger gap toward the back than the front.

Would be great to see Tesla eventually open up a Tesla App Store that allowed 3rd party manufacturers to develop their own product UI within the touchscreen.

Other than that, I’m quite pleased with it.

should have followed this line in my opinion, but probably considered “within spec” in Tesla standards?
