wireless phone charging

Is there a way to switch off the wireless phone charger ?
I rarely use it, and the 2 charger spots get too warm.
Seems like it gets warm whenever something metallic is placed there.
Tesla should have a switch somewhere in the on screen menus.

I've looked into this before and it cannot be done in the software. Since Tesla uses one of them for keycard recognition, I doubt they would make it an option to turn off.
