So as the price for starlink mini just got reduced until May 28th I figured now was a good time to order one

question for those of you that have them already.

I have only ordered the standard mini kit at the moment so what mount options are the best to add for the following

1. front window mount as that seems the most popular from what I have seen (open to other suggestions)

2. option for when out camping with cyber tent open.

Looking for suggested mounts/brackets/cables/plugs etc

I use a veritas vans flat mount wrapped with flat black ppf on top to minimize reflection. Works great and does not overheat even in Phoenix.
it comes with both suction cups and strong magnets which are the feet I keep on it.
stays put on the dashboard and very easy to take out anywhere you like for camping. Stays put really well with magnetic feet.
Previously had mine suction cupped to the glass roof like everyone else but installed an electrochromic light thingy up there.
Side note, pay close attention to what you tint your windows with. Nothing metallic. I ended up having to change mine after cutting a hole in it to prove it was the problem.
This is the glariest picture I could find but the black wrap makes the reflection barely noticeable.

I have this mount on the roof window above back passenger seat. Stays in place, no complaints. Works with cybertent open too. I think starlink can just see through the cybertent.

I'm in the same boat as you.

Dash:
Pros: it's simple to install, just set it on the dash.
Cons: It's visible for everyone to see, and the glare...

Glass mount:
Pros: Out of the way, less likely others will see what you have in the truck.
Cons: ??? trying to think of one.

I'm going to pick up one of these mounts, which will allow me to remove the Mini without having to release the suction cups.

And then use this DC to USB-C cable to plug into the rear USB-C port

I want this Mini to be easily removable so I can swap from the CT to my work car.

I wonder if getting a bit of speaker mesh fabric and draping it over the Starlink mini on the dash would get rid of the glare? It should be able to "see" the sats through it. Amazon has cheap fabric.

Just got back from a road trip to DC. The Satelite wasn’t working half the time because it way overheated. I didn’t have that problem last summer in Michigan. I’m gonna try the amount up to the tinted glass in the back and see if that works better. Seems like people have had a good response.

Mine does not overheat even wrapped in black right under a tinted windshield in Arizona. Is yours inside or outside the vehicle currently?

I had it on the dashboard. The windshield is not tinted though. I’m trying it under the tinted glass in the back.
