Attaching magnets to the Tesla Cybertruck's stainless steel frame is ill-advised due to potential corrosion risks. Magnets can trap moisture, dirt, and debris between their surface and the vehicle's body. This environment fosters galvanic corrosion, especially when dissimilar metals are in contact. Over time, this can lead to visible rust and pitting on the Cybertruck's stainless steel exterior.
I see. But I’m putting them on PPF. I wonder if that changes the situation.

If someone goes to this extreme, they deserve what’s coming their way, including baseball bat!!
Important to unlock you’ car first though or at least have your phone in your pocket. Otherwise you too will be in a sentry video Negan’ing your way through the crisis of division currently overwhelming our country.

Yep, got a new CT on Monday. And already ordered some DIY PPF for sides and back. And, a bunch of magnets and stickers. None of them are warning stickers, they're more things that I support, like the environment and skiing. Hopefully, people will be more tolerant if they think you're one of them. Presumably they like the environment, and being in New England, hopefully they like to ski.

And, if someone does key my CT, hopefully, the PPF will mitigate the damage.

I say set aside whatever your insurance deductible is in a jar and then quit worrying about it. I’ve spent more than that on accessories.
You wouldn’t buy a solid steel powder coated peace of mind with some carbon fiber acceptance from unplugged performance?
You might have to sell a kidney and wait on the waitlist till the next administration to get it but you’d buy it. Taking “preorders” now.
You can still disagree with the people who do this crap and you can even fight back in whatever way you see fit, but there is no sense in being afraid of them. They don’t rule our lives. We do.
Remember, you can afford a Cybertruck and, not always, but they in general cannot. Who is really winning this game?

Do you think the people doing the vandalism tend to look like snow skiers to you?

Snow skiers are healthy and fit, I would say most Tesla vandals look more like circus or insane asylum escapees.

Besides, the stainless steel is so hard a key barely leaves a scratch. We did see one guy resort to hardened steel wire cutters to do his dirty work, that's going to take some work to fix, he was leaning into it with all his built-up anger. But I've seen more than one video of freaks who tried to use a key and proceeded to look confused and disheartened that it barely left a visible scratch. That's why the swastikas are often gone over multiple times, each one harder than the last, often to not much avail.

If you have a wrap the equation changes. Because plastic is really soft.

I think you're underestimating PPF. At the end of the day, if someone really wants to mess up your truck, they're going to find a way to do it.

There are no 12v cig lighter outlets in the CT :(
Yeah, makes it kinda hard to use the air pump from my old X, not to mention my Garmin backup for long trips?

Thinking about placing this sign under my windshield and side windows when parked in a public location. Most of the idiots don’t realize they are being recoded. This may or may not help???

You're giving away the secret weapon.....put a fence around you property and see if that stops the fools.
In '86, at the first Porsche 356 Registry meeting l held in my building in Caulfield, l placed a chain across the rear of the building space to stop entry into the Fox Car Collection of around 39 cars...the fools simply stepped over and walked on in.....l asked somewhat politely, what the HELLS BELLS they were doing !?!?;!
They pretty much said, just taking a look!!!!! MATE!
I told them to take their bloody entitled look somewhere else; where they were welcomed to i do so!

Good luck Brothers and Sisters, Boys and Girls
