MyQ Auto-Close Strikes Again ⚠️

Sorry to hear this happened. What’s the scenario that caused this?

Were you backing into the garage and then MyQ triggered to close the door while you were backing up?

I first pulled up forwards (which auto opened the garage) to unload the frunk and a sleeping child. Then I backed out into the street to turn around and back into my garage (which triggered auto close).

What’s frustrating is that I caught MyQ doing it, sat there for a full minute and then pushed the open button… I misjudged the distance and was 1-second too soon.

It’s tricky because I have a sideways garage. I have to watch the limestone wall as I’m turning while reversing. My side mirror was angled down just low enough that the garage door was too high to see, but low enough to still make contact.

Same thing for me, was coming home during a rain storm and it auto closed on my windshield and busted the wiper and scratched the glass of my windshield. I disabled it completely and just the clicker. I miss homelink so much! All three of our other tesla's have it and it works great.
