So, I am looking for advice regarding where to get new AT tires, and should I use tesla SS or Costco? I normally don't do off-roading. We live in northern Virginia and don't have lots of snow. But we do travel sometime in a snow region. Any recommendation on where to get AT and cost etc. appreciated!

My time, too. Except that my Pirelli AS tires inly have about 14K miles of street driving on them. I’m getting the Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT (T1) from the Tesla Service Center installed. They will hopefully last longer.

If you're not doing much off road... Michelin Defender LTX Platinum is probably the best all around tire. Since you're coming from the AS tires, you can probably expect a slight drop off in efficiency (2-3%), but better than any true all terrain tire and better than the OEM attempt at AT.

When it comes to true all terrains, it depends on how aggressive you want to go. K02/K03s are the gold standard, but are likely too aggressive for most. Nokian, Toyo and Falken have good options that slot on similar or different parts of the scale. I'm personally very happy with my Nokian Outpost nATs. I picked them for triple peak rated all terrains that have good puncture resistance... yet are not at the very extreme either. They have a bonus of being very light compared to the competition. If you're not doing off roading though, I wouldn't choose any of the true all terrain options.

Yes don't get AT if you aren't going offroad. I got Falkin Wildpeaks. They are noisy and reduce range but they don't wear down much at all. They also feel safer in the rain. On tight turns you can actually feel them increasing their grip. I paid $1888 for all four out the door. We do go offroad a few times a year and I love the longevity of these tires, so I don't regret it. But they are loud!

What are the pros and cons of buying AT from Tesla? I am newbie when it comes to tire so apologies in advance. Like I mention we do couple of trips to north in a year otherwise mostly highway and locals. But when we do take a trip to north in winter, do wish i have AT :)

I got my Defenders from Costco when I got my new rims. They did a great job, no problems and even got $80 off. So far no issues and the road sound is less for me
