Self driving is cool. I like driving tho so it’s kinda boring. Having a wife and kids means you always need 2 cars. I am also very positive that my 4Runner can get to places the Cybertruck could never.

Please don’t start yet. I gotta get home, put on some comfy pants and throw some popcorn in the microwave.

Don’t let some of the responses get under your skin. You are on a Cybertruck Forum posting about your affection for your Toyota 4Runner. Just pretend you’re a duck and let the negative responses run off your feathers. This is the interweb after all.

Wow! Already wheeling your RWD! That's what I like to see! Having fun without worry!

I've always wanted to wheel a RWD to see how much better it is than a traditional RWD gas powered pickup (more ground clearance, better throttle control, lower center of gravity and rear locking differential).

Our math is quite different but we have discussed that before.
I absolutely believe that’s true for you but In my use case it’s not.
I didn't mention how it was for you, I only shared my experience to add another perspective. It doesn't make your perspective wrong just because it doesn't match mine.

And I love that you understand that. This basic element of American civility seems to have fallen by the wayside more often than not nowadays.

It’s a 2019 with only 100k miles on it. It’s not even broken in yet. Why would I get rid of it?
Very commonly people get a new car after 5 years or 60k miles,
thereafter a car is more difficult to sale or you don't get too much value for it.
It doesn't mean than a car is bad, it just a financial decision between
maximising resale value and future repair costs, mostly transmission work.

Keeping a car for a longer period is certainly a wise decision and can be the most
cost-effective option if it's reliable and the annual repair costs are less than a new car payment.
The 5-year benchmark is just a balance between enjoying a newer car and making a financially
savvy move regarding depreciation and potential repair costs.

I personally keep my car for a longer time until I really need to change it
because of personal reasons, mechanical issues, or technological improvements.

If I was getting this Cybertruck your truck as a gift I would either sale it or get the 4WD version,
with the electrical power panel, air suspension, and tonneau cover. All my EVs have always been
4WD, mostly because I was concern about the total weight of an EV, and would never buy a FWD EV.

I just wish Tesla makes a shorter 3-row SUV version of the Cybertruck because
I don't have the usage of a pickup truck bed and would prefer a roomy cabin.

One issue not too much covered in this thread is evaluating if the range provided by an EV
is compatible with your expectations from owning an ICE SUV with certainly a longer range.

I like the roomy cabin and the self driving but I really think I am going to sell it and pay off my 4 runner and put the rest down on a nice Model 3 or Y.

I think that’s your smartest play given how you feel about the other truck and what you’ve been given.

congrats on the win! My old Tacoma will go places the CT can’t. The CT does drive very smooth even compared to the 3 or Y. I’d suggest test driving those before you commit to something or you might regret it. End of quarter end of year Tesla sometimes has juicy deals…strike while the iron is hot if you are gunna trade in.

January/February are the slowest months for new car sales. I think we are going to see some fresh incentives from Tesla in Q1, 2026.

Just like the overpriced RWD Cybertruck I predict Tesla will drop the slow selling Standard trim of the Model 3 and Y next year.

Did you receive it? Odd because they were discontinued by Tesla.
If money isn't an issue, I would trade it in for an all-wheel drive. See what Tesla offers you for a training before you sell it anywhere else.

I won an online sweepstakes and won a Cybertruck. Turns out it is a 2026 RWD. Given all the things stripped out is it worth it to keep this thing? I kinda like it and feel like I want to keep it but it feels like so much is missing over an AWD version. I get that I got this for free so am I crazy for wanting more?
Here is your opportunity to fully embrace the crazy beastly beast deep down that's been wanting to get out. You know, deep down you are NOT A RWDer? No! Look, it's very simple.

Just take a Ouiji Board and sit down in a collapsing chair next to a Cyberbeast and RearWheely.

Which way does the puck on the board move? It's not you moving it! It's moving all by itself! Toward the CyberBeast! Every time!

Why Mad?

I own a 2013 Toyota Tacoma with 130k miles and love that truck (paid off) and bought brand new.

But if had choice or even won a CT…

No brainer….what Toyota?!

Just saying, dazed and confused is not cool!

Just keep both. 🤣

Congratulations OP! I never win anything and always get super excited when I see people actually win these sweepstakes. I didn't read all 7 pages, but are you going to get issued a 1099 for taxable income for the FMV of the truck. Technically you would have to pick up the $50-60K as income on your taxes this year, if that crypto company wants to legally write this off as a business expense. Something to consider if you haven't already. Look into it before you sell, spend all the money, and you might be stuck with a big tax bill in four months. If this was answered, please tell me the post number. Congrats again. I would be ecstatic if I won a football. lol.
