This thread reminded me of when I was a kid (maybe around 5-8 years old) and whenever my dad was driving us around in the station wagon, we'd fold the rear seats down, ask him to go fast through the twisty roads so we could slide around the back on our backs. I remember we'd slam into each other, into the sides the tailgate / rear door, etc. I also remember us hitting heads from all of the sliding around lol. Those were good times. Nowadays, there'd definitely be Karens running around claiming child abuse lol.

It also reminds me when I was maybe 4 years old, my dad would put me in his lap and drive around in his stick shift Mazda. He taught me how to shift so I'd do all the shifting...I even knew when he'd pull the clutch in to shift based on the engine RPMs. One time, a local cop pulled us over and all he said was 'uh, you can't be doing that with your kid.' That was it. lol

Back in the 70s, I slept with my girl and had s$x in the truck bed while another guy drove interstate 10. I’m 78 now and would do it again!
I heard that it’s better to regret what you DID do rather than regret what you DIDN’T do.
You go young man!

thanks, Karen. I’ll keep it under consideration.
No reason to be rude. I am not telling you what to do. I honestly read your original post and thought it sounded like something I would do. Then I read the other post about it being potentially illegal. Then I thought about my family and my life insurance. Then I thought about every time insurance companies looked for an excuse to screw me. So I figured I would pass this along. I am not saying don't do it. Live your best life.

Interesting it’s not illegal in a lot of states. And like a lot of things insurance can screw you no matter what you do. Even if you follow by the book 100%. It was awesome to be able to get some sleep and enjoy the rest of the day with my family. I’ll take that all day

Worked the night shift and was able to get a few hours rack in the back while my wife drove. Woke up refreshed and was able to finish the drive. Before all you Karen’s start chiming in about how dangerous it is, don’t do it if you think it’s too dangerous. I grew up in a time we’re used to sleep in the back and Pickup beds all the time. It was dark and cool and comfy.

Awesome, being 6'6" I barely fit not to mention I have a spare tire. I would actually do this if I could control FSD Unsupervised.

Ohh and if you're a chicken Osha person go ahead and grow a set, shut up and let men do man things. If it's your time it's your time, deal with it.
