From the attached article:

With the demand for lithium soaring, the U.S. government is taking action.

In a recent move to boost America’s mineral production, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to fast-track domestic mining projects, including those for critical resources like lithium.

But what if the U.S. was already sitting on one of the largest untapped lithium reserves in the world?

Beneath the surface of California’s Salton Sea lies a discovery so massive it could redefine the nation’s clean energy future.

Scientists have identified an astonishing 18 million tons of lithium—valued at $540 billion—buried beneath the murky waters of the state’s largest lake.

For me, following such groundbreaking discoveries is as exciting as exploring new opportunities on https://mostbetbd1.bet/ where I find the same sense of thrill and possibility.
18M tons of lithium under the Salton Sea could power almost 400M EVs. But the real challenge is how to extract it without wrecking the local environment and whether the promised green empowerment zone actually delivers jobs and benefits to the communities around the lake

Have you ever been to the Salton Sea? I have. There’s absolutely nothing around it— it’s already an ecological disaster site.

I should also note since reading it now myself, it looks like that passage is supposed to be me speaking; those are the words of the author whose article I linked to therein.

Maybe you’re from the region and/or know more about it than I do. What am I missing?
