Without max speed control I wonder how FSD 14 is going to handle the situation where it thinks the speed limit is 90MPH in 65MPH zone. V13 sets itself to max speed 85MPH which I dial down (see photo). Yes, I have cancelled FSD and sent a recorded message multiple times since I got the CT in June.

Yeah I don’t like technology being overly presumptuous that it is right, when it is just plain wrong. The fact that it doesn’t readily learn from the user input just adds insult to the injury. Not excusable for error-prone tech to think itself smarter than the accurate humans who are trying to correct it. Having to disengage FSD to correct for its idiocy is itself idiotic.

For everyone complaining about the lack of max speed, let's first get the update and see how it performs before we flip out. My understanding is that nothing has really changed. If its going to slow, roll the scroll wheel up. If it's going to fast, roll it down. The only difference is you see a speed profile instead of a number.

Some of us have it on other vehicles.

Sure. And, does it work as I said? Sloth will drive the speed limit. Other profiles will go faster. Seems exactly like the behavior people want - just without the exact number.

The issue, for me, is when you don't know the speed limit.

That's the single biggest complaint with V14 followed by "stabby" braking.

You're right, it works great.... As long as it knows the speed limit, which it frequently doesn't. Speed control was a good band-aid because you could adjust it in realtime when the car didn't know the speed limit, and not have to disengage.

I kinda wish they would've kept speed control and compared the data of user-controlled speed average on a road vs map data and used the user preferences to adjust the map data over time.
