FSD and Background Display Disappeared.

So not sure what happened. it was 18F this morning in Santa Fe, NM when I departed and noticed FSD v14.2.1 was missing and the background display was blank. per grok this can happen when the camera gets fogged in cold weather but i cleared the ice and made sure all cameras were clear.

Tried a soft boot and a hard boot but to no avail.

i recently had my truck serviced where they performed a Correction Clean Forward Camera View (precision cleaning of inboard glass).

my truck was fine until this morning.

I just drove 800 miles without FSD and cruise control which was painful! Tesla Service centers are closed on the weekends so need to wait till monday to schedule service.

Anyone else experience vanishing FSD?

CURED! Recommend is turn off Sentry, park somewhere safe, exit the truck, lock it, and leave it undisturbed for 15–30 minutes so the FSD computer actually powers down.

Congrats on the correction. Sounds like a lazy tech didn’t reset FSD after servicing.

I do have an observation;
FSD behaves different since the update, If I switch between TACC and FSD the cameras go black for approximately 15-30s. This has happened since v14 update.

Good to know! Thanks! btw FSD worked fine for a couple days after Tesla did their service. it must have been tied to the cold weather somehow with the windshield being iced over blocking the main camera?! maybe

Mine looked like that before, but had errors showing up. They replaced b pillar camera and it was good for a couple weeks, then I got more errors and blank again. This time they replaced the cable for the b pillar camera. I also couldn’t turn on FSD while it looked blank like that, had to drive analog only.
