I know the off road light Bar has been an ongoing topic here, but I want to collect some data to present to TESLA.

I took delivery of my Cyberbeast back in May 2024. It’s been 9 months and I have not yet received “the email” to come and get your light. Nine months is way to long to wait. I called “customer relations” today and was told its a “hurry up and wait game” and there is NOTHING they can do on their end to expedite the process.
I have a neighbor that recently took delivery of his truck and has his light bar.

Some here on the forums have had success by just making a service appointment and had the light bar installed without the email. This tactic has not worked for me at 2 different service appointments.

I have 2 other Tesla vehicles and this has been the worst experience with Tesla service so far.

Question for fellow Cyberbeast owners here. How many here have had their light bars installed and how long have you owned your truck?

I could have had a baby by now..9 months is ridiculous and unacceptable!
Delivered Oct 2024... Light bar is installed. Made service appointment for lightbar install, they ordered and installed it. Granted, it took two different centers, but the second location ordered and installed.

I was an August 20 24 delivery. I got my notification in June that the lightbulb was ready, but decided to wait until they got the bugs worked out which apparently they have installed scheduled for tomorrow. Chicagoland area.

Did you get a same day install/pickup. I ask because I had to wait for next day pickup.
Art, I finally got my V3 lightbar installed. I think they did a good job. They kept it for a longer period to do the cant rails and a fix to the tonneau. We will see how the new installation procedure performs over the long term.

How was the Cantrail install? I guess by now it should be an uneventful install. Glad you got the light bar finally installed.

How was the Cantrail install? I guess by now it should be an uneventful install. Glad you got the light bar finally installed.
They did a great job on the cantrail install. Very precise and no noticable stud mark.

Got my V3 light at installed. Only took about 2.5 hours. Installed straight and did all the wiring so I didn’t have to do anything.

They did the wiring connection for me for free after asking that they do it for me.

As far as I know the little wiring extension piece comes in the box with the lightbar. The rest comes from the factory.
I didn’t have mine done at a service center but it’s possible you might have bought pizza for lunch for the service center team. 🤷‍♂️

Not really...
The jumper harness is $10, but should be included in the event the lightbar is the old style solder type and the truck is the new style grommet plug only.

Tesla sold Foundation Cybertruck buyers a lightbar that Tesla will not completely install to make it workable. Even if a buyer could get it wired to light up, once installed it cannot be driven on a public road in any state even with the lights off in the US without the risk of a citation. Tesla also did not make a viable, easily on and off removable cover, so having a lightbar makes a $ 100k plus truck an off-road vehicle only. No commerical company makes a cover due the Tesla design and installation. So the only option is black tape. If the windshield is damaged, the lightbar also must be removed too And if replaced, it is at the buyers expense. What a company! Who is the fool, the fool, or the fool who follows the fool?
