The 150 kW Superchargers are good if you want to order some fast-food nearby, the higher kW Superchargers are often done charging before your food order is up and that could require you to move the Cybertruck before eating.
Fair point, but as someone who never eats fast food... not something I consider ;)

Setting aside the wholly superior Tesla FSD experience, the only practical difference between an EV road trip and a gas one is that you have to plan the end of your day to ensure that you have enough electrons to get to the next charger in the morning (while keeping the phantom Sentry Mode bleed in mind).
and now you can define 'arrival percentage' so that's dead simple these days

You're absolutely right. One just has to be sure that "assigned" percentage is enough to get you there the next day! It's not at all complicated, it's just a thing that isn't generally relevant to ICE cars.

Is it not?
Arriving at a destination with x-amount of fuel in the tank is more stressful to me than an EV since I can recharge anywhere there’s electricity - can’t refill an ICE vehicle at a house or hotel usually.

It would be awesome if Tesla offered an option to tell navigation how many hours you want to drive between stops, and then make hotel and meal options available. All of which prioritize charging. This could be an ad partnership opportunity for Tesla.

Over the past couple years I've made 7 coast to coast trips (Tampa to San Diego) in Tesla's (6 in MY and 1 in CT). Initially I would charge to 80 to 97%, now I charge enough to get to next charger with 15-20% charge remaining. This saves me 2 to 3 hours a day!!

The 4 coast to coast trips in an ICE vehicle were tortuous and much more dangerous. FSD is the only way to travel.

My roadtrip from Northern Virginia to Central Texas shows a 24hr drive (1600 miles). I’ve done it in my ā€˜69 Camaro, Viper, and Hummer H3 on 37s. Its always takes 27hrs driving straight, only stopping for gas.

Last October the same trip in the CT showed a 29hr drive. As my first EV, it took me 32 hrs as I overcharged often.

As for my preference, it’ll always be gas when the focus is reaching destination asap. That said, the CT is the perfect roadtrip vehicle in terms of comfort and ease of drive for prolonged periods.
