Wasn't much rain, just drizzle if that.. I had just wiped the truck at 3am for the day, so regardless i wasn't happy. I figured it was supposed to stop before 9am, i was wrong...

Holy water spots and streaks after getitng back in the garage and drying. So now i gotta windex the entire vehicle again.

FML so this is a every time it rains thing?

Seems like in traffic get more spotting the last year but sprayway (non ammonia) has worked well without dealing with messing with the chromium layer. I did BKF/Windex early on in ownership and I felt like I was fighting tarnish so switched over to sprayway (light clean up) and Citrisurf 77 (5-10 mins for tarnish and 20 mins to passivate) and been fine.
I've actually only needed to hose the truck off a couple times after offloading and the rest of the time I just buy a $15 pack of microfiber towels at Costco and a 6 pack of sprayway.

Potential buyer…learning.

So, i assume with CT, no automatic car wash like regular cars? Just Windex / Sprayway and microfiber cloth?

I did BKF/Windex routine 1x and otherwise i just use spray away or windex to detail the car and the fingerprints, which is daily since i am always in car line and i just finally installed those block things in the door. However, training the staff at the school is another story, especially being the end of the year in all. I might buy a fyi wrap for the start of next year and give it ago, if it only costs me 1800, opposed to 6k at a shop, at least i can take it off if i don't like it in 6 months or a year

You can do car wash if you want to, there is a mode you put it in, however i wouldn't, i am also crazy and neurotic about how my vehicle looks, i don't want to put a bad foot forward for the brand we already get enough of that, i feel the extra work will breed better overall discipline in my life. It's sort like how the New York Yankees forced their players to always shave, and now they changed it. However, Aaron Judge came out and said he won't change, because he feels it promotes discipline. I respect that. Spray away or windex + wipe and then a dry wipe with a towel works great for daily wiping down of fingerprints and bugs etc.. on the hood/front

Except with the cybertruck it's insanely obvious.
Only watermarks I have encountered are those from when I wash it and don’t immediately dry it well.. (hard water or cleaning agents)

Natures Moistures has never caused such for me..

I also only use McGuires or Mothers and rinse very well… BarkeepersFriend only on rare ocassion as it is a pain to fully clean with SprayWay and such. I think it’s the leftover agents which cause the markings rather ‘rain/dew’.. windshield washer fluid especially shows up..

I have colored ppf and ceramic on mine but it goes through the automated car wash once or twice a week. Never an issue.

No. I will have to see how that is. Maybe I made it worse trying to dry the truck after I got it in the garage heh

Slight tangent.... had a couple stains on the hood I couldn't get rid of with Sprayway or BKF MORE. Also tried a few other random cleaners I had laying around and they didn't work......until I tried Meguiar's Fine Cut cleaner; Fine Cut cleaner pulled the stains right off. Wouldn't recommend Fine Cut cleaner for regular cleanings as it is a mild abrasive, but I wonder if it is more or less abrasive than BKF Soft Cleaner. Fine Cut cleaner did pull the passive layer off, but the steel doesn't look any shinier than other panels. Might be a good option for cleaning stainless steel without polishing the metal.

I use an auto wash. I do have some stubborn spots tho I use spray away there, if that doesn’t resolve it. Then onto the others.
