We had just made it thru a huge mud pit sorry no video of that one. We almost got stuck there but I managed to get her out. This spot was no chance tho. My father n law and his pal tried their ranger first with winch and I knew that wasn’t gonna work lol but then they got the tractor and she came on out. It was soupy and uphill in both directions.
Now to clean this thing.

A man has got to know his limitations, lol!

But part of the fun is finding out where those are with the CT!

Partner in an old law firm that I used to work for once told me:

“You know the thing about four-wheel-drive? You can get stuck in all kinds of places you could never get to with a regular car.”

I just saw another version tried to remember the line:

Four-wheel-drive just lets you get stuck further from help! ?

A good shovel (I like the Crazy Beaver even though expensive), recovery boards (Rotopak seems to have the least expensive version that are also functional), a tow strap, a tow hitch, electric winch (I have a Warn Winch), and kinetic recovery strap go a long way for self-help.
I’ve taken my CT to some remote places and I don’t do wild stuff, but I’m amazed at the places that it CAN go if you’re observant and careful. Most CT owners that I’ve seen or heard about getting stuck had “high-centered” after digging themselves down with their tires.
It’s a very capable vehicle!

A tractor beats all that stuff!
Yea. Boom bam done. ? it was funny when the winch on the ranger had it tipping over. They have it rigged for pulling deer up on the back if anyone is wondering why it’s mounted up there.
Wife didn’t catch that on video tho.

Hahahaha! I use an electeic Warn winch to pull elk into the bed up the ramp that was acquired with the Tesla voucher. Winching is sure easier than hefting a dead animal around! But tipping the Ranger almost over, omg, classic! It was stuck pretty good!

Funny thing is I'm still seeing most of us using the stock AT tires for the 'dumb' things we are doing. I've been able to do far more than I expected.
With real tires, I can only imagine how much farther we will get stuck ?

A shovel does a lot of different things. But my recovery gear has actually only been used to help others. ?
I've never had to use my recovery gear to rescue my truck either, but it does come in handy for clearing the route, like fallen trees or a boulder. Smaller trees I just put it in Extract Mode and bump over them.
