Because they are important to me? Also, I'm harping on weight too. And charge compatibility also.
I understand not being able to afford it.

But most gas bikes don't have more range. They're not that much lighter.

You're just being weird. Offroad, these bikes have loads of range.

I'd buy a bike with the range and weight of a small adventure bike today. I can't find it. But I'd love to look if you can. A normal ride is a couple hours, some off road, lots of road and twisty bits, no place to 120v charge but with places to J charge. Doing that looks like a nearly 500 pound bike as far as I can find, and $18k+. I'm not sure why I expected there to be one, maybe because of how practical our Tesla is. But as we go through the battery paradigms, I get why it doesn't. I'm just disappointed about it. Reality is a bitch.

Afford versus make no sense...should always be an equation. Could and should are two different things.

I know that @Crissa has one, anyone else? What do you have exactly (name, configuration options, general specs)? How do you use it? On road, off road, grocery getter, commuter....?

I can't say I'm in the market for one today, but I've looked longingly. I currently have a 2020 KTM 390 adventure that I really love. I do a little off-roading here and there, and will do some camping when the summer weather heat away. Mostly I use it just to ride around for errands, shopping, things like that. Casual riding when I feel like it. I have a large tail trunk so I can do a pretty decent sized grocery trip. And on/off road electric with similar abilities, size, and weight sounds like it would be fun and useful. I recently sold a CBR1100XX and I think I'm done with the heavier bikes, I'm really liking the ease of tossing around a light bike. It's only 42HP and I'm fine with that, I may have done all the time at 150MPH+ that I have in me.

Loaded for an overnight trip...

I just sold my Harley Davidson 2020 Livewire to artist Clayton Porter in Santa Fe. I loved that bike. Handled much like my former Ducati cafe racer, but it was quicker to 60 and heavier by about 200 pounds and with the added weight it just hugged the road with a very low center of gravity. I sold it to make room in my garage as the main driver was my college kid who is out of state.

it also fits in the back of the Cybertruck. I hauled it from Scottsdale to Santa Fe last weekend to deliver it. If I had a larger garage I’da held onto it! Few things are better for the inside of a person like the outside of a motorcycle, except for maybe an electric motorcycle!

I know I can google this, but...where can you and where do you choose to charge? J-charger, home, etc? What's practical in your real world?
My LiveWire I just plugged into a regular 110 volt outlet overnight. It would be full by morning.

Are they still making Alta’s? If not, what is the current best option for e-dirt? KTM?
