I drove my enclosed 14x7x7 trailer from Davie florida to Tallahassee Florida this past week. 500 miles should normally charge maybe 1-3 times without trailer. With a trailer full of furniture for my sons house, I had to stop about every 80 miles for a charge. The normal drive of 7 hours turned into a 13+ hour journey that was tiresome. I hit superchargers at Buc-cees, and Busy Bee, some were 250kw, some were 150kw. For some reason, my CT did not charge close to the specs, many time sub 100kw. I am not sure why? Maybe the batteries are running all day that they cant handle high watts? anyone have same issue. Last time I travel with trailer for long distances

What state of charge did you start charging? If it wasn't close to the bottom, that might be the reason for the 100kw. Also, are you on the latest software version? I know they updated the charge curve lately.

80 miles between charges seems really bad. The worst I've seen is usually half, so around 150 miles. Do you know what your usage stats were? BTW, it's not the weight, it's the aerodynamics that seems to make the biggest difference. Is you trailer really tall? Or really square without curved edges? Maybe post a picture of your setup.

I'm guessing you used the on board navigation to plan charging stops?

There is definitely an advantage to letting the Nav Computer plan the route because it will make sure that the battery is preconditioned at the right times, which will give you faster charging when you arrive. Also the nav will/should tell you the limit you should charge to in order to get to the next stop. I think Tesla has some software improvements to make in this area for sure.

Also, I think a lot of people drive the truck like it has no trailer because of the instant torque. This is fun, but it uses a massive amount of energy. I think it's really easy for folks to consume that extra energy because it's available to them. As a pretty conservative driver I fall into this trap less so. Not trying to brag here. Just making a statement about driving habits get magnified with a trailer behind.

Ambient temperature has a good bit to do with how the battery performs. I'm not sure how hot it was when you were towing, but a hot day can limit the range you'll get.

All these ideas are just nit-picky things that come to my mind. I'm guessing that if you already thought about all those, then you'll ignore. But if any of them help a bit, I'm happy.

Also, 400$ for 500miles is, well ridiculous. Sorry to hear that.

I drove 63-67 mph the entire trip. With the trailer on, the computer doesn’t factor in the extra weight. But on a full charge of 310. It’s about 2/3 loss. So every 80-100 miles I’d get to a full charge. Yeah .39 -.49 cents per watt on charging. $200 each way. !! Good thing I can nap and watch Netflix while charging

Tires at 65 psi on Cybertruck?
That's a really high Wh/mi, are the trailer bearings extra tight?

80 miles of distance seems very low. I pulled 15,000 lbs from Lantana to Fort Lauderdale and didn't experience near that type of drain.

Maybe hung brake?

I have towed several trailers now. All types and weights and have never seen the drain that bad. I've been really impressed at how well the computer adjusts to the trailer and has been really accurate when predicting distance. All I can think of is your software needs to be updated. Either way, sounds like a heck of trip.

The heat here in Florida has been 90 everyday. That is really hard on cooler to keep battery at 70. My S fans cut on everyday here. The road temperature is about 140. Those factors are very important. Always remember battery temperature. U can see that on ur screen if u bring it up. I pickup my truck Monday in Jax. I'll look at it
