Anyone taken their CT to drive on a Delaware beach yet? I ask specifically about Delaware because there are beaches all over the country with harder flatter sand. Delaware is very soft and people get stuck all the time in other vehicles. Just curious if anyone has experience and how it was for you. Also, did you air down? If so, how much? TIA

I just got back from San Luis pass near Galveston TX, it’s pretty soft in some areas. I went into one area and I knew I fucked up. But she didn’t get stuck after all. I was in off-road mode sand, all season tires at full psi. I saw several cars stuck when I was leaving. I guess if I had AT tires and air downed, it would have better…

Not Delaware specifically but yes to deep and soft sugar sand beaches. Aired down to 20, off-road mode / sand setting. I was very impressed. Didn’t come close to getting stuck at any point.
Love to hear it!!! Thank you

Air down your tires and you should be good depending on conditions, but always bring a pair of recovery boards in soft sand driving!
Thanks for advice. I drove a Tahoe in this area on the beach for decades so I’m comfortable with the process. Just wasn’t sure how the CT would perform. But I’m excited to get it out there.

Spectators, love the bullet holes in the driverā€˜s door
Hey Garee, I passed you in our CT on Flagler Ave. in New Smyrna Beach a few weeks ago. We live on the beach there and the truck loves the sand. I also liked your bullet holes. Enjoy your toy. We love our toy. Drive Safe.

My CT did fine on beach and sand dunes after I aired down following this chart. There was one particularly soft dune that I couldn’t get up and got stuck but a Razr winched me out.

Love my CT, but my Defender was the best in soft sand and mud. No comparison when it comes to traction. I just don't consider my CT an off-road vehicle like my Defender.

Hi Ray, thanks for the shout out. I remember. Hope to see you again. We will be making a trip out there soon to the beach and to have lunch. Maybe we can hook up. Gary and Nancy Rehbine. [email protected]
