Picked up my new AWL cyber truck . thought a picture would explain the difference my new truck compared to my other truck like going from a dinosaur to a spaceship. Been using the FSD 98% of the time and still amazed how well it works. was planning on keeping the Ford. but starting to think that may not be necessary because I’ll be using the CT all the time anyway. glad I did not just doom surf about this truck like I normally do and really started watching people on this site with their pictures and stories to show that this is a good truck. Thanks for your input.

Congrats to your Cybertruck!

Same here... Before we got our Cybertruck, I thought that I'd never let go of my RAM workhorse.

And then, we found out that the Cybertruck could do everything that we needed, plus more.

The Cybertruck is one hella vehicle.

I absolutely love my Cybertruck but…I am now retired and frequently tow a boat and off-road cars from Southern California to Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Towing long distances is just not currently practical for the Cybertruck. The severe hit to range and the lack of pull through chargers is a challenge that makes the longer trips unpleasant.

I’ve found that transporting my dirt bikes in the bed of the Cybertruck works very well. So well in fact that I sold my gas powered dirt bikes and switched to electric dirt bikes. Now I charge my electric dirt bikes with my Cybertruck. My wife and I charge the bikes up while we are eating our lunch and giving our old bodies a break (I’m 67 and she is 56).

I am extremely fortunate that I can afford to hold onto my five year old F350 as a tow vehicle and use my Cybertruck for everything else.

First world problems for sure.

Noce thing about 'merica is he can do whatever the hell he wants... keep it or sell it. Maybe money or depreciation is not a factor... none of our business
Completely fair. I just personally think there are better ways to use that depreciation money. That may not be everyone’s perspective.

Nice, Same experiences here.
I thought I would keep my lexus GX forever, sold it after half year parking on the driveway, bought Tsla at around $170 with that money.

I kept my old truck for 3 months just in case, but I got in it one day and there were cobwebs. My Cybertruck replaced my 3 and my old working truck and it’s been great.

There are times where a work truck is a better tool than a CT. We kept a couple diesel Superduties on the farm to do things we’d never try with the CT. We have three workboats in our oyster aquaculture operation and have a shallow sand boat ramp that is used about once per week for boat servicing. At high tides the low-angle ramp requires going in almost to the front axle in order to remove the boat from the trailer.

We don’t care much what happens to an old heavy duty truck. In Virginia such trucks can have a cardboard sign in place of a license plate saying ā€œFarm Useā€ and not even be registered or titled. There are rules about how far they can be used on the roads but I’ve never heard of that being enforced. In our case we have no problem handing the keys to a ā€œnew Americanā€ worker who is covered in bay muck and having the truck in salt water up to and sometimes past the exhaust pipe. They only dream of using the CT for such jobs. We’re all-in on EV but cannot imagine a time where we’d be using a CT for a lot of the things we use a truck to do. Salt water is insidious and mud is mud. We need interiors that can be hosed out, not interiors with screens and LED accent lighting.

What electric dirt bikes do you have? I have a Stark Varg and was wondering if a CT will fit one in the back diagonally and still be able to close the tailgate?
