We just completed a tow from SF to SLC with a 12x6 trailer and wanted to share some numbers.
On the first charge, we cruised at 55 mph using cruise control. We had a partial tailwind of about 13 mph heading east, with an elevation gain of roughly 1,100 ft. The trip totaled 141.7 miles, consuming 80.8 kWh at an average of 569.1 Wh/mi.
For the second charge, we towed all the way across the Sierra Nevada. At the top of the climb, we peaked at 998.6 Wh/mi, and by the time we reached the Supercharger in Fernley, the average dropped to 568.6 Wh/mi. Total energy used was 74.4 kWh over 130.8 miles.
