I just picked up my new Cybertruck yesterday and took it on a 2+ hour drive down I-5 to get it home. While cruising at highway speeds, the truck has a slight surging/jerking/bouncy feeling. It is only evident when FSD is active and holding a constant speed, like it is constantly micro adjusting the acceleration. Very slight but noticeable. Anyone notice this or have any thoughts?

Nope. Mine’s smooth. A few options: something’s wrong with yours, you’re too picky, or your cams need time to calibrate. Keep using FSD over the next few days and see it fixes itself. If not, schedule service. If that comes up with nothing, you’re too picky but know it’ll always get better with software updates.

Mine does this on city streets as did the one I test drove before I ordered mine. It is very subtle. Our Model Y is noticeably smoother in FSD but the CT ride is smoother. You get used to it.

Our model x is considerably better at just about everything FSD related but this is by far one of the most noticeable points.

I can't say I've ever had that. Tight left hand turns and some hugging the edge of a lane at times I've experienced (though that seems better lately). Other than that it's been great and I can't imagine going back to not having it. Even if FSD (or any self driving tech) never got any better than it is today I'd still consider it a game changer. We recently took ours on a 3k mile roadtrip and while I knew FSD would be great and make a difference, I can't articulate how significant and what a game changer it was! Sure we stopped a bit more than would have in an ICE vehicle but tradeoff was 100% worth it. Plus my largest having to stop more than I like factor is still by far my wife's bladder, so I just charge when we stop for that šŸ˜†

Not that the op was saying or implied this at all, but just a more general comment... the whole internet sentiment that FSD is either perfect or it's shit, drives me crazy. Especially coming 90%+ from people who've never experienced it.

Back to the op... if it feels off and continues after a week of solid driving, get it checked out. But, don't fall into the social media induced anxiety trap of being hyper focused on every little possible thing. With all the noise and bs, and after pulling the trigger on such a controversial large purchase it's easy to do. If any other vehicle was scrutinized to the degree CT is they'd compare as bad or worse. It's definitely not perfect and there are little quirks, just like any vehicle. Personally I care not if my windshield wiper randomly swipes or a panel is not perfectly aligned, or there's fingerprints on my door. The unique features and other benifits, and all the positives about the truck and the driving experience FAR exceed those things.

Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy the ride! šŸ™‚

Mine was that way in hurry mode. Also it’s been awhile, and the cameras had more time to calibrate. Try switching to chill and see it makes a difference.

I have the Beast for a year now and I did notice this. It doesn't bother me at all. Love the Cybertruck. Can't wait to get rid of the annoying notifications about paying attention to the driving. I use the full self driving as much as possible. Love it.

Yeah the fsd on CT is nothing like the Y or 3. Sudden hard stops, jerks, etc can happen at random. I'm hoping v14 fixes all of these random issues. These are known issues.
