shouldn’t the delivery be well above 110kW at a V3 SC Station?
That charge rate could be nominal depending on conditions, though I would expect closer to 200 kW if your battery is warm and no other cars are charging beside you.
Getting 110kW at 38% SoC is a little behind the curve, but not much.

Same exact problem for me and it started same day as OP…WILD! That said, I seemingly made a little more progress on the diagnostics front. All the same symptoms as OP…plug in UWC (not start charging), 48A shows on app. Start Charging and wait wait wait, 24A at "first spark".

17,2XX miles, zero issues since taking delivery May 2024.

My Scenario::
Day 1 Monday: Portland to Seattle, FSD right outta the gate from hotel parking lot to supercharger in Vancouver WA. Battery somewhere near 50%, but didn’t want to pull into the house on "fumes."
31° outdoor temp, and the truck Preconditioned for all 19 miles to charger. Do my thing, unplug at 78%; Grok: navigate me home (shameless), Start FSD and (visual) BOOM - huge crazy weird release of apparent steam/vapor that looked like exhaust fumes behind a blown head gasket. Straight out left and right, maybe front and back but couldn’t see. Failed to hit dashcam, so don’t ask-I’m embarrassed enough about it already. Thought maybe the battery compartment was releasing temp after precon+charging, but then thought whytf would it do that when warmer is, generally speaking, better (30° at this point). Get home via FSD, zero interventions the entire trip (shameless), no warnings/alerts. Cue the 48A / 24A charging debacle from 14%.

Submit a service request and tell them whatsup, including my knowledge of the early warning symptoms of a failed PCS. Next available appointment 2/10 - wtf. I even suggested getting the truck in sooner, BEFORE the alerts/warnings/use limitations started popping up and potentially creating a roadside situation, but I got the typical "can't guarantee a loaner if you bring it in sooner" bs. Whatever, I'll wait.

Day 2 Tuesday: Home from work, test the charging situation again. Same same - 48A plugged in, 24A after Start Charging. Then, wooooweeee Software Update incoming! Install 2025.45.8, Reboot, and (again, visual) BOOM - Alert Message "A/C Charging Unavailable. Schedule Service." Sent a photo of the alert message to Tesla (closed at this point), and did my own homework in Service Mode to see when all the shit started. Turns out, the first instance of PCS_cycloBMosfetHealthCheckFailed occurred on January 6, more than 2 weeks prior to the 48A/24A issue arising. The PCS_cycloAMosfet didn't show up until sometime closer to when the amperages started acting up. Not sure the exact date that PCS_cycloA appeared (keep reading), but it very well could have been at that Vancouver Supercharger.

Day 3 Wednesday: Message from Tesla "ok bring the truck in." Just took it in around noon today, which is why I can't check the first date of _cycloA alert appearing. Service rep looked at the logs of everything and said, word for word, "ok yep, PCS is fucked." Gave me a CT loaner and off I went. No date provided expected completion, but my initial service appointment date of 2/10 still exists in cyberspace somwhere, so the App says expected completion is 2/11. Wouldn't complain a bit if that were true anyway...drive the same truck around for 3 weeks with free Supercharging aint that bad of a trade.

Either way, SUPER crazy timing with OP, and hopefully this novel of a post helps someone in the future should they encounter a similar scenario.

I’ll try to be brief:

Moved my work office, and had a wall connector installed.

- 208V three-phase service
- 60A breaker

I commissioned the wall charger and set it to 60A in the USA.

I plugged in, and only get 24A. The “+” is grayed-out on the charging menus.

I tried turning breaker off/wait/on, recommissioning, etc.

Nothing changed.

I just got home and plugged in and happened to notice in the Tesla App that I’m charging at 24A here, too.

Same grayed-out “+” in the truck. And I’ve always charged at 48A at home.

I then remembered that this morning I fleetingly thought it odd that it charged overnight and went from 20% to only 78% instead of a full charge.

Any thoughts?

I saw the same after the software update about 2 weeks ago. I have a 60amp breaker, which SHOULD show 45 amps [which is the limit of the tesla home wall charger].

The software update about weeks ago - was showing 24A on my app.

However, yesterday, I did see on my CT dash the amps back up to 45amps - when I plugged it in at home.

I assumed, and still assume it was due to software update.

Jack

PS: I do NOT have the tesla home charger 'connected' in my Tesla phone app/devices. and do not plan too.

I charge @ home from a hardwired Wall Connector. I have been noticing lately that my charging on the CT stops a few % before the SOC I set. I have 80% SOC set for charging and it stops at 76% or 78% and won't go any further unless I slide the charge limit to 82 or 85%.

I have always been charging @ 24 Amp although I can go to 48 Amp if I want. I am connected to the fuse panel with 6/2 MC and a 60 Amp breaker so I should be able to do 48 Amp charge if I slide the charge rate in the car or on the mobile app up to 48 amp.

The reason I charge @ 24 amp is to keep everything running a bit cooler and keep the bugs/ants off of the charge cable in the summer. The cable doesn't get "HOT" or even warm @ 24 amp and I don't need the faster charging.

It has been cold here the past month so I don't know if tht

The charge limit includes the blue bar energy, but the SOC read out doesn't. The pack likely isn't getting out of blue bars/ ❄ before it hits the % charge limit.

PCS has a failure on one half of the DCAC converter and the front air flaps are jammed/ frozen. So you'll be limited to 24A AC charging.
I see that - are they related at all?

It doesn’t seem so since the PCS errors started well before?

Are the Air Flaps a physical blockage and something I can correct/look for myself?

Assuming you have this knowledge. If not, sorry - just wondering.

Day 2 Tuesday: Same same - 48A plugged in, 24A after Start Charging.

Day 3 Wednesday: Message from Tesla "ok bring the truck in."
2-Week Update: Thank god for CT+FSD loaners.

Seattle SODO SC, Wednesday drop off. Friday (2 days later) message from tech "we are still trying to diagnose the charging issue..." Welp, that seems like a problem. Pretty sure the alert log tells the story, but I get it-reading is tough (and knowledge is power!).

Monday (5 days later) message from SC "Parts are set to arrive tomorrow." Right on!
Wednesday (7d later) message from SC "Parts will be arriving today and the tech will resume work on your vehicle." Right on!
Friday (9d later) message from SC "We anticipate the power conversion system to arrive over the weekend. Once it is delivered, the techs will get started on the replacement." Right err...Bueller..
Saturday (10d later, 2d ago) message from SC "My parts department anticipates the PCS to arrive early next week. We appreciate your patience." -_-

Not a big deal...and the winter storm that hit the other 80% of the country last week is probably playing a part int the delivery delay. Loaner CT w/ FSD and free supercharging...same rig, $0/0 personal miles racking up during commutes/other drives. And this time allows me to appreciate the various aftermarket add-ons, however minor, I've put on the truck.

Thanks to this delay, I'll add a top 3 list of said add-ons for the 2 people left in the world still reading this. In no particular order:
1. @T Sportline A-Pillar MagSafe Charger Mount ^1
2. @AO-Pete AbstractOcean SuperHydrophobic Rear Camera Cover ^2
3. @RPM TESLA ABS Door Closer Handles (in-jamb) ^3

^1: Game changer. Wife asking to please come out with a passenger side version!
^2: Not perfect, but one helluva solution for an unsolvable problem. Far better than without.
^3: I've whiffed well over 20 times attempting to close the doors on the loaner.
