I'm not one to sue, but those with deep pockets are staging a war against environmentally responsible people and those who are property owners that are future oriented are dealing with distress and vandalism among other things. I'm hoping someone reads this compiles a list of companies that payroll these people (ie:Jimmy Kimmel/ABC, Comedy Central, CNN and others)

We can't let the ones that insight violence go unscathed, they should be held accountable.

Your Google law degree failed you big shooter. Class action lawsuits don't work that way. If they did, Fox News would have been sued to oblivion for knowingly spreading misinformation. You can't sue a media outlet for their opinions.

Class actions are for cases where the average damage is too small for any one Plaintiff to attempt to recover alone. Think stock holder derivative suits or when SiriusXM got thwacked for refusing to honor lifetime subscriptions.

The surge in Tesla vandalism—torched cars in Vegas, slashed tires in California, swastikas on Cybertrucks—is real and ugly. Owners are catching heat, likely tied to Musk’s Trump role since January 2025, not just their eco-friendly choice. Calling it a “war” on green-minded property owners makes sense if you see Tesla as a symbol of that ethos, and the distress is palpable—some are selling their cars to escape the hassle. But the leap to media giants like ABC, CNN, or Kimmel funding vandals lacks legs. Kimmel’s Tesla jab was dumping fuel on the fire, and CNN’s Musk critiques don’t help, but “payroll” suggests a conspiracy—no evidence backs that up. Musk’s hinted at “larger forces,” yet the FBI says it’s lone wolves, not a coordinated hit.

Class actions won’t fix this either—they’re for small, shared damages (like SiriusXM’s subscription scam), not opinion-driven media spats. Suing over Kimmel’s quips or CNN’s slant faces a First Amendment wall unless you’ve got proof of direct incitement or lies causing specific harm. Dominion nailed Fox for $787 million, but that was defamation with receipts, not a class action. Tesla owners deserve peace, sure—and here is the good news, local cops and feds are already jailing vandals with five-year minimums. Compiling a company list sounds good but needs hard data tying payrolls to Molotovs, not just hot air from TV. What’s your take—seen anything concrete linking these outlets to the attacks?

Free speech is darnedest thing.

I am going to say this- this is ultimately EM fault. He decided to become DJT tip of the spear and get involved in politics. Now it’s political for Tesla. Now we have deal with the stupidity. You are all EM’s pawns in this crusade.

Shucks.

Nah, blaming EM is like a wife-beater saying, 'I wouldn’t have hit you if you didn’t piss me off'—pure gaslighting nonsense. Elon’s not at fault here; it’s the world’s overreaction. I’m so stoked on him and DOGE that I went 'ALL IN' on a Cybertruck—though, okay, maybe that’s less about his mission and more about the truck being badass, lol.

The “world’s overreacting” was predictable. EM engaged. Now here we are. Hopefully this is the worst of it.

Bro, you missed my point—doesn’t matter. This crap’ll die out. The unhinged few torching Teslas are just hate-programmed losers with short attention spans. They’ll latch onto some new grudge soon enough when society keeps shrugging them off.

Irrespective of what a CEO of a company does, the vandalism is being targeted against private vehicles. The only way to stop this lunacy is for FBI or local law enforcement to catch and prosecute them to the fullest extent possible and publicise the consequences.

I understand the feds already have three in custody that will likely be prosecuted under domestic terrorism with a 5-year mandatory minimum prison sentence and no chance of parole. They are also investigating if these attacks were instigated by organizations.

This just warms my heart to see a government that doesn't look the other way when there is criminal activity.

Including CNN and MSNBC. Just saying, lets be fair here.

I’m starting to think that giving this any attention is not helping. I’m just as frustrated as everyone else but I feel like talking about it and posting it on the forum gives the humans doing this more momentum to keep on. They use the post to prove they are “doing something” or “getting at us” in the end. I don’t want to engage with any of them and plan to ignore them all unless they threaten my family.

IF media outlets are not just reporting but have commentators endorsing illegal acts, they might be liable, civilly or criminally or both.

And any protest organizers that are endorsing illegal acts or even consistently failing to warn against illegal acts, are even more putting themselves at risk.

Whatever is happening out there it sure isn’t stopping people from buying Tesla. My local showroom was packed yesterday with people new to the brand.
I sure hope so. We need a replacement segment for all those walking away. Hopefully this craziness amounts to free advertising. The new model y is significantly nicer looking than previous bulbous Teslas for the masses.
