Austin Plant

[Richard Alligood]

Any news on when Austin Plant will be up and running? Will the Austin Plant be producing our CyberTrucks? Any news on a tentative production date the CyberTruck will roll out?

You can watch the progress of the Austin plant being built in this thread.

It's running now, as they make it piecemeal.
Yes, it will make our Cybertrucks.
The date (end of 2021) hasn't changed.

I hope they make Canadian cybertrucks first, eh.

If you go on Tesla's site today, it still says production stats end of 2021. Not sure if that's an oversight or a sign things are still on track. I was a bit concerned a couple months ago, but seems like launch date at the end of this year might just happen.

I don’t expect meaningful Cybertruck production to begin before Q2 of 2022. The Model Y will be the #1 priority for the new TX assembly plant.
