It makes the truck duller...Might as well wrap it and use regular wax.

Anyone use this?

Saw it from a youtube video. Only from Ebay. Wondering if its safe to use. And no I'm not trying to sell anything here.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/134906989374

Safe to use? It can't hurt the metal, it's just a synthetic microcrystalline wax. We can assume the pH is not extreme.

I would suggest avoiding putting it on right after using Barkeeper's Friend, because it will hinder the formation of the self-passivation protective layer. That can't lead to lasting damage, but it might make it more difficult to maintain a uniform appearance between cleanings.

I'm in no hurry to try it since it's already so easy to maintain without any coatings or protections. But I would be interested in whether it offers any benefit when used a couple of days after a thorough cleaning with BKF, followed by a soap and water wash/rinse, and a two-day waiting period before applying the wax.

Did you end up trying this? Tempted to give it a shot for fingerprint prevention.
I did not. I decided to wrap it sooner than planned. I did buy a can though. Unopened if you want to try one for a discount off the seller.

Thanks, the cost is very reasonable on it, just odd that it has been around for a couple of years and I can't find any accounts of anyone using it. If it did a good job with fingerprints I would think it would be front page news for CT owners.

Stumbled across this thread and started down the rabbit hole. I agree if this product was as impressive as they claim it would be in more YouTube channels and outlets.

I found this article and it calls out mixed reviews. I really don’t wanna experiment with it but would like to finally find someone who does. I don’t mind a slicker surface but the YouTube video doing fingerprint test it really changes the color. And he can’t even show the fingerprint results and says sorry take my word for it. I feel he would have reshot that to ease minds.

I tried it before I got it wrapped. Meh, it didn’t stop fingerprints. Didn’t prevent hard water spots. Waste of money imo

Thank you for sharing!!! I hope no one gets scammed by this product. Def appears to be cash grab opportunity and a scam. When they said the consistency of coconut oil I was like is it just coconut oil lol.

Sorry you wasted your money but thank you for your service ?
