I've been bouncing between RST and CT. Now that non-FS CT is on the table I'm really considering it for the cost savings, tech, and infrastructure. The issue is I swore I wouldn't get anything with less than about 400 range if I purchased another EV truck after my experience with the Lightning's "320" range.

For those of you who owned an LER and got the CT Dual Motor, how do you feel about range. Is it comparable to the LER, or vastly improved. Is the range stated by Tesla real, or should I still deduct 25% range in the winter, and expect 240 miles of hwy range/150 miles of winter hwy range w/ 100% SOC?

For reference I had my LER for 10 mo's/21k miles, cross country road trips, and lots of time in rural areas; thus my question. I'm not the typical EV owner who can charge at home every night as I'm away from home for long periods of time.

From my experience the CT range is equal if not better than the Lightning ER. This is the first Tesla I have seen meeting or beating their estimated range (I'm talking from my experience using MX and MY). So far I am averaging 375 Wh/mile which translates to ~330 miles real world range. Current mileage is 11k.

Thanks for sharing, it's pretty close to the Lightning. Are you getting that on the highway at 70? Also do you have the all seasons or off-road tires?

Highway 70mph you should get around 300 miles. I have the off road tires. In general ev ownership isn't great if you can't charge regularly/ overnight, but I can say your experience might not be worse than owning the Lightning.

I would think Tesla range should be better in the winter vs Lightening due to heat pump tech, but I'm not too familiar with Ford.
