In what way is this an upgrade from the OEM part?
It's probably not an upgrade at all.

Both versions of the Cybertruck already come equipped with Bilstein semi-active dampers as standard, which provide variable on-the-fly damping through electronic control via solenoid valves that adjust compression and rebound valving in real time based on driving conditions.

This is one more reason of many that the $79,990 AWD price is already a screaming deal.

The cybershock is already on offer to order from Unplugged. It’s a supplementary high speed damper.
I recommend not piggy-backing a "supplementary" damper to a system that is already actively controlled. That will just cause the existing damping to be reduced by the control algorithm.

I see what you are saying, but I’m not sure I agree. It’s all about shaft speed. If the factory damper is outside of its high speed mechanical limit it won’t actually get data that would change the curve. It will still move faster than the factory damper can prevent. Otherwise, the valving in the supplement won’t activate. Its mechanical sensitivity will be outside the factory damping capabilities. If the system is under damped in certain high speed situations, it shouldn’t impact the low speed compression or rebound circuits either. It‘s only for the rear, so the lever of the wheelbase will hide it from the front sensors. The rears should spend more time higher in their stroke, but that would just be closer to optimal, and shaft speeds will still dictate the settings anyway. For the rapid desert square edge chunk where I live, I imagine it might keep calm the chatter and help control the wag.

How expensive is this system that the CT currently uses?
