Tesla Cybertruck FSD v14.2.2.2 (Update 2025.45.7) now installing - Release Notes Added G9Tjg9SXQAAZAG1

Release Notes:

Tesla Roll Outs FSD V14.2.2.2: A Look at the Improvements

Polished Intuition

The standout characteristic of this latest version, which is now rolling out to the fleet at larger after being with early-access testers for less than 48 hours, is the elimination of hesitation. In complex environments where v14.2.2 or v14.2.2.1 would hesitate or stutter, the new build exhibits more confidence.

That confidence likely comes from the additional polish that Tesla’s AI team has placed on this build, working over the holiday season. It also applies to some improvements to Speed Profiles and how they handle traffic around them, as well as improvements to highway exits.

Better Perception
Perhaps the most compelling argument for this stopgap release is the refinement of the perception stack. Tesla has focused on improving the stack to better find and predict what vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists will do next.

Early access user testing in parking garages noted that the car was preparing for pedestrian traffic behind blind corners - essentially moving from a reactive posture (slamming the brakes) to a predictive one (slowing down smoothly ahead of time).

Nag Fixed - Again
One of the biggest positives of this update has been reducing the false positives in the Driver Monitoring System, which FSD v14.2.2.1 had dialed up to the max. The previous iteration was nagging drivers for every little head movement or hands not being completely visible or free.

Now, that appears to be gone, allowing for the same smooth, hands-free operation that V14.2 originally debuted with.

The Takeaway
While FSD v14.2.2.2 isn’t the massive reasoning upgrade and sentience we were looking for with FSD v14.3, it is still an extremely polished build that has come a long way from the initial releases of FSD v14.

It also represents something else that is more important than a big tech leap over the holidays: stability. Tesla has ironed out many of the erratic behaviors in previous builds to give everyone a much smoother and more stable build of FSD.

I hope it fixes parking sensitivity. I have a small garage and need to inch it forward to the back wall for garage door to close (I have about 1 foot clearance) but the past few updates tapping the accelerator lightly doesn't move forward when it gets close. I'm worried if I tap it harder it'll lurch and hit the wall. I used to be able to feather it right where it needed to be but lately it's been more assertive at stopping when it thinks it needs to stop.

I also noticed this at superchargers going in reverse. I was able to lightly tap it to go backwards an inch or two. Now I'm afraid it'll go too far. Probably not but I'm either scenario it's too much of a risk to try.

Long way to go between 14.2.2.1 an me being able to take a nap in the back while it drives me home from work, hopefully this covers some of the current issues and moves us closer to FULL SELF DRIVING

In all fairness… the latest is a considerable update from where we were earlier this year.. 300+ mile camping trip with only one hiccup where the sun may have caused a sway to the next lane… also some weird road markings at this point.

Steers clear of plastics bag blowing across my lane…moves to the side for oncoming motorcycles lane splitting (from the rear)… stays well centered in the lane even on the narrower lanes near my home which I never trusted the system to do previously… backed into a supercharger spot with ease…doesn’t seem to sway in the lane at the curved sections of road… enters said curves moreso as I would (early, not late)

Bravo Tesla!!

Don’t know if those change in drive is with latest update or v14 in general…

Definitely the best drive I’ve ever had on FSD.

14.3 should be unsupervised, supposedly. But it could take awhile if they keep adding more decimal points lol

Got it downloaded this afternoon and installed it. Have driven the truck after it but “manually”, not used FSD yet.

He said it would be the final piece of the puzzle. Unsupervised is the final piece.
Lol. So you are making a leap.

He said that about E2E, too. There's an entirely new architecture coming next year as well. That's supposed to be really mind blowing, sometime in Q2.

I'd be shocked if us consumers saw true Unsupervised next year. Maybe longer time to look away, but a driver will still be responsible and in the driver's seat for consumers.
