So I just switched out my original tires at 30,600 miles. At 5,000 miles I got a nail in my right rear right on the edge of the tread and plugged it. Not wanting to risk running it on the front end I just decided not to rotate them and see how far I could go. I was not too optimistic since I’d read several posts about people only getting 10 to 12k out of a set but I have to say I’m impressed.

Congrats on the new set I’m at 28000 and I’m doing research. Leaning towards the Michelin platinums, or the stock wrangler territory again.

Still on my stock tires after 35k miles, 4 rotations and 3 nail punctures

But I’m definitely looking for my next set. I want minimal road noise and maximum traction on and off road - so that’s “keeping me up at night”

A bit, yeah. But not too bad. Still plenty of range.
Thanks. I have a full rack system with RTT, so these things are starting to add up a little on me. so far I haven't noticed enough to care.

These are just another little thing. Won’t make much difference. But like you said eventually things add up.

Slight thread hijack... Anybody have a set of tires that added range and reduced noise that they would recommend?

Do you drive your CT on the road at the same height setting every time?

The Duratracs are good but I git a lot more road noise than I expected. Not bad at first, but got worse with wear. Looking forward to the Michelins

I'm thinking about grabbing some Michelin Defender LTX from Discount Tire. Running about $1800 these days. Anybody else like those?

Pick one: low road noise or good off road traction. I don’t believe you can get both…but if it turns out to be possible, do let everyone know!
