So I have a 4400 Vin early delivery model, currently 32k miles, really has been a great truck
Thinking of trading to a new build given the FSD transfer promo & $1k loyalty credit running right now

Looking for first hand experience if anyone has driven both or done a similar trade

The research I've done here and on Grok indicates improvements in:
Cabin noise & quietness
Door panels & vibrations
Tonneau seals
Panel gaps and alignment
Phone charging

Motor whine seems to be about the same
HVAC fan noise is certainly loud, especially when cold - has this improved?

There have been some very minor changes, but nothing major. I've driven a 26 and have a 24 FS and the panel gaps, highway noise, tonneau water intrusion were almost identical. The 26 actually had a bit worse gap where the frunk is than mine, but I assume they never fixed it as it was a demo.

Unless you can get lower payments and come out positive, I don't know of a good reason to trade in outside of extending the warranty.

I don't think FSD transfer applies to FS trucks

Thanks. Super helpful.

Those items though are all fixable by Tesla. My 11XXX vin had all the above performed as service issues.

100% on this. This would be my reason for a trade in at year 4. Mostly because I am 3.5 hours from the nearest TSC and the tow alone would be astronomical. My 2 years is up this May… so 2 years to go. I wish they would offer the extended warranty deal as their other vehicles. I haven’t seen it for the CT and would love to know if any other owners here have obtained tha for their CT.

Honestly, an extended warranty would go a long way toward making this an extended ownership proposition. 50k miles is in my not too distant future.

I’m holding out for a battery pack update, but that’s many if’s and way down the road.

@Gundo whats your trade in value, or doing private sale?

I've confirmed with the rep at Tesla that FSD does transfer from a Foundation Series truck.
I wouldn't trust a single rep. The website clearly says that launch edition MY and FS CT are excluded. When I got my 700 VIN CT the rep told me there would only be 1000 FS...and that wasn't true haha.

Yeah... the rep at Tesla told me my Model Y FSD transfer was completed... It wasn't. We lost FSD. I'd get that in writing and not just in the app because Tesla's answer was "The SC was wrong." Still bitter about it...

I'm (sorta) in the process of trading Cybertrucks. The rep confirmed on multiple occasions that I could transfer FSD from my Foundation Seriess. He said that the option would pop up in the app as I went through my "tasks". When it didn't pop up, I was finally told that you cannot transfer FSD from a Foundation Series CT. At this point, I have updated my order to include FSD but I can't promise that I will go through with the order.

Well that’s good news. It used to include FS cybertrucks. There are other threads on this…they must have updated which is awesome.
